Getting Started

Hi,

I'm very new to this but I just need some help getting started.

When I run WoW.exe and login in, it downloads an update and then says to press the restart button to download the latest patch. However I have the 3.3.5a (12340) or something patch already. Do I need to download WotLK game as well? I have my realmlist.wtf set as "set Realmlist 184.154.79.250" which i got from one of the pages on the truewow webiste.

in the realmlist.wtf set it to "set Realmlist login.truewow.org"

Also do NOT login with a email it will try to update for some reason i hope this helps and resolves your issue

Awesome. Will do. So do I try to login with my username when the game starts?

yea if your username is like your forum name (Bennybo27) just enter that and your password and it will let you log in to the game.

Also use wow.exe not the launcher otherwise it will be all like

YO UPDATE ME TO CATA

and you should be like... no >_>

Haha. That's great. One last thing, in regards to Cataclysm and Wrath of the Lich King, do I need to do anything to play those expansions?

You need to be patched up to 3.3.5a to play WotLK. You can't play Cataclysm here.
