The Isle of Quel'Danas - Now Live on PrimalWoW!

TRUEWOW IS PLEASED TO PRESENT:

THE BURNING CRUSADE - Patch 2.4:

FURY OF THE SUNWELL

It was called... the Sunwell

A sacred fount of untold power!

The Isle of Quel'Danas:

Behold the magical isle of Quel'Danas!

Once the shining jewel of Quel'Thalas, this island is now home to demons and elves alike, all of whom battle for control of the magical fount of the Quel'dorei's power's - the Sunwell. Created from a vial of water stolen from the Well of Eternity, the Sunwell helped shape the lands, the cities and the very essence of the Quel'dorei identity, saturating the very fiber of their being, while serving as a source of great power.

Now, in the wake the destruction left behind by Arthas, the surviving Quel'dorei - having named themselves Sin'dorei - fight on. Enduring to reclaim their birthright, whilst struggling against the forces of the Burning Legion, as well as some of their own traitorous kin, who now merely serve the agendas of their evil masters.

The fate of Quel'Thalas, and perhaps Azeroth itself, now hangs in the balance. Go forth champion! Venture into this mystical land and help the Sin'dorei reclaim their destiny! Prevent the shadow of death from falling upon the world!
Or perish... at the hands of he... who will deliver us all!

Magister's Terrace:

Tempest Keep was merely a setback!

With this release comes a new dungeon for PrimalWoW:

Tucked away in the northeastern pocket of Quel'Danas lies the Magister's Terrace. Once a center of arcane knowledge, now it serves as a base for the Dawnblade, the elite faction of Blood Elves still loyal to Kael'thas Sunstrider. Having escaped there, and following his defeat at Tempest Keep, Kael'thas plots to gain control of the Sunwell for his own ulterior motives.

What does he have planned? What is his agenda? It is for you, champion, to find out and put a stop to it!
Rumor has it that Kael'thas may possibly be hiding a unique hawkstrider mount which grants a legendary achievement. Try your luck and see if you will be the first to obtain it!

  • The Isle of Quel'Danas is now available for play on PrimalWoW. This area includes a new quest hub, flight path and 5-player dungeon - Magister's Terrace.
  • The combined forces of Shattrath have launched an attack on the Isle of Quel'Danas, to confront Kael'thas and the Legion at the Sunwell and surrounding areas.
  • Players will now be able to gain reputation with the Shattered Sun Offensive and participate in a new set of daily quests.
  • A representative of the Keepers of Time has been spotted at the World's End Tavern in Shattrath. Players with good standings will be granted ease of passage to the Caverns of Time.
  • Sunwell Plateau has been released. The raid is now accessible to all eligible players on PW. The following tuning adjustments are active for said raid:
WotLK + 80% for bosses and WotLK + 40% for trash.

TrueWoW staff has conducted several internal tests to ensure as smooth a release as possible, however, as always - please request assistance via the in-game ticket system for any issues, and report actual bugs on our bugtracker; the instructions for which can be found HERE.

Reserved space for further announcements, player feedback and other information.

* The cost of Apprentice Riding skill has been adjusted to 35 gold and the level requirement has been reduced from 40 to 30 to reflect the changes from patch 2.4.3 (PW Realm only).

Image

Update: 13th of October, 2019:

* The https://truewow.org/armory/item.php?item=33809&realm=t has now been removed from the vote shop due to it being obtainable in-game from the Zul'Aman timed-event (100% drop chance for PW and 25% for TW).

Update: 13th of October, 2019:

* After an internal discussion, it has been decided that the following mounts shall be removed from the vote-shop in approximately a month's time from now:
https://truewow.org/armory/item.php?item=46708&realm=t
https://truewow.org/armory/item.php?item=46171&realm=t
https://truewow.org/armory/item.php?item=47840&realm=t
These mounts are available as rewards from the revamped 4-season arena schedule for TW realm.

Their removal was deemed appropriate to remain consistent with the fact that the https://truewow.org/armory/item.php?item=50435&realm=t mount is not available on the shop either (due to it being an arena reward as well).

Update: 18th of October, 2019 @ 1500 Server Time:

* Based on player feedback, the "Wretched" trash mobs before Selin Fireheart have had their damage nerfed in accordance with data collected from multiple player runs as well as multiple internal tests. "Drink Fel Infusion" has been adjusted from a 2000% increase in damage to 500%.
In addition, the mobs will now cast the spell at 35% health, instead of 50%.
This change will be live with the next update (from the time of this edit).

Update: 21st of November, 2019 @ 0300 Server Time:

* Due to a server-side glitch, all 10th and 11th tier talents (requiring 45 points and 50 points respectively) accidentally became unlocked on PrimalWoW realm.
This glitch made these talents available for all players to spend talent points on to further specialize their characters.
While this was not at all planned for the Quel'Danas release, (this was scheduled for the WotLK release for PW), we have decided to make the best of it and leave this as it is now.
Feel free to specialize into your new talents, familiarize yourselves with them and enjoy.

Update: 21st of December, 2019 @ 0500 Server Time:

* All PW raid bosses & raid trash (except those in Zul'Aman and Karazhan) have had their health nerfed across the board.
The new values now attempt to emulate stock TBC patch 2.4.3 health amounts.
This change is to facilitate progression of older raids as we draw ever closer to the SWP release for PW.
Enjoy.

Update: 1st of February, 2020 @ 1400 Server Time:

* By popular demand, adjustments have been made to PW Raid Tuning.
* Karazhan tuning has been adjusted to WotLK + 40%, across the board.
* Black Temple, Tempest Keep, Serpentshrine Cavern, Magtheridon's Lair, Gruul's Lair and Hyjal Summit tuning has been adjusted to WotLK + 80% for bosses and their adds.
* 25-man trash has been adjusted to WotLK + 40%.
This change is based on player feedback regarding difficulty levels for current content on PW realm and will be live as of next restart (2nd of February, 2020).
In addition, a status percentage has been added to the bottom of the first post to reflect the development status of Sunwell Plateau.
Enjoy.

Update: 5th of February, 2020 @ 1630 Server Time:

* All Vanilla raids will now be reset to their default WotLK values.
* Blackwing Lair and Molten Core have already been reset. The rest will soon™ follow suit.

Update: 15th of February, 2020 @ 1900 Server Time:

* Sunwell Plateau has been released. The raid is now accessible to all eligible players on PW.
The following tuning adjustments are active for said raid: WotLK + 80% for bosses and WotLK + 40% for trash.
Enjoy.

Its good that you guys released this raid, but lets be honest. Who is gonna see it? Primalwow population is pretty much dead. Might be an idea to go back and rework raids to smaller sizes

Custom Downscaling of large raids is not an option and will not be discussed.
We have neither the time nor the resources to implement that while bug reports continue to flow in form both realms daily.
We already have our hands full with getting Sunwell Plateau released as soon as possible.
https://truewow.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=114&t=39473

Nerfs to previous raids have already been considered and are on the table to make things easier for PW players.
We're prepared to return old raids to their nerfed WotLK states in order to make them less difficult to handle by the current PW population.

Updated announcements post above for 21st of November, 2019 @ 0300 Server Time: (talent trees)

In addition, nerfs are currently being internally discussed for all currently available PW raids.
This may include either a partial or full restoration of Boss HP & Damage to patch 3.3.5a levels (with the modification or removal of custom tuning) to make things easier for PW players and facilitate progression to Sunwell Plateau (which is coming very soon™).

Regards.
