[Pending] Remove COS and HOR from RDF Rotation {TW}

#1 » Post by Regent » 27 Mar 2018 13:28

Just as the title states.
Nothing more, nothing less.
Note: I am not asking for them to be disabled but simply not be an option for the system to put us into when we queue for RHC.

They've been reported for ages now and nothing has been definitively done about it.
Waiting forever in queue and then getting these dungeons is a pain in the neck.
In their current state, they aren't worth doing until (if ever) they are fixed.

HOR has a chance to reset to wave 1 (or just plain stop) at any point between wave 1 and 9. If it doesn't bug out, you have to do 9 waves all over again to progress to the 2nd boss. If it bugs out (as in that it doesn't even reset to wave 1), you're forced to vote-kick and re-queue.
And the escape part in HOR has a chance for mobs to spawn underground or ABOVE the ceiling which renders them completely unreachable (and thus, unkillable) by the party. If you don't kill them, the walls don't break. And thus you wipe. Since this isn't doable in this state, you have to vote-kick and re-queue.

COS has had Arthas walking at a snail's pace for several months. Doing the last part is extremely tedious and time consuming and simply not worth the effort required for what is supposed to be a simple escort run through some elite trash.
It's bad enough that we can't skip the intro dialogue nor get teleported straight to the first wave to save time due to this blizzlike option being bugged at the moment.
75% to 90% of the people on TW will vote-kick as soon as this dungeon pops up due to it being in this state and that means more time spent sitting in queue.

Until these issues are resolved with the aforementioned dungeons, kindly remove them from the RDF rotation so we don't have to waste our time vote-kicking and re-queuing (and waiting long periods) in the queue just to get our daily EOFs.
Players are free to travel to these dungeons themselves and do them if they still wish, provided they're masochistic enough to tolerate the current bugs considering the amount of time required to complete said dungeons.

Regards.

This is actually an ongoing staff discussion aswell.
We'll return to this thread about the decision in due time.

Nearly 2 weeks after I posted this, both dungeons are still bugged and the staff refuses to do anything about it.
People are still forced to vote kick and re-queue because of this nonsense.

Either outright say it that you intend to do nothing about it or actually do something about it.
Letting this stuff sit like this for days and weeks on end without any definitive action just tells people that you don't care.

It's okay though, keep working on T6 / Hyjal / TK as if they're actually relevant in 2018.
And before I'm fed more nonsense from the white knights, spare me. Been here longer than that abomination has existed.

I'm sorry Regent,
it's not easy when we are so few People behind the scenes.

I understand your frustration, I do, and it really weighs me down too.

Anywho, I promise you an answer sometime within this week.

Can you not hear how juvenile you sound? Lets not even get into the point that you're flat-out factually incorrect in your assumptions...

If I wanted your so-called expert opinion here, I'll ask for it. Until such time, shove off back to that realm you came from.

It violates our own goals, but yes we'll remove it from the RDF until we fix it.
Lack of dev power is the cause of effect.

Bump.
Getting really tiresome to have to vote-kick multiple times from HOR and COS when we keep ending up in them after ages of waiting in the queue, especially for the daily players.

We have work power working on the actual issues,
it's external power though so I can't tell the progress of it.
