12099 [Free at Last]

The quest item you have to use on the giants doesnt remove their buff nor make them non-elites.

according to old.wowhad.com you sometimes have to use the quest item several times before it works.

Several times? i tried a lot of times...but nothing. I think that the low percentages of procs are messed up, like dropping a certain quest item i was looking for (esimated about 10%): i spent 30 min farming and I couldnt get a single one.
But if you say so, i'll try again, challenging many elites ^^

Confirmed, the quest item does not turn the elites into nonelites.. Borken..

I've been trying to complete this quest for the last week and I spend probably about 30 mins to an hour every day going through all the giants and I haven't been able to get one of them to work. It is on the list of quests in the completer but I still can't complete it.

The quest is in the quest completer. Just click the grey question mark it will take you to the selection of reward items.
