RHC poll
Players have voiced a desire to promote random heroic dungeons. This would be an important change so we're polling a few suggestions to better understand what should be done. It's primarily meant as motivation for doing more than 1 random heroic per day which would also reduce queue times. New suggestions are also welcome including those for raids.

But we will also take replies to this post into consideration if you prefer using our forums.
Poll options:
- One Emblem of Frost for every random heroic after the first that day.
- Same as above but only 50% chance to get one per heroic.
- Ability to purchase 1 Emblem of Frost for 10 Emblem of Triumph.
- No change, keep it blizzlike.
- Other suggestion or amount to be discussed below.

i will repeat my own sentence which i tell many times - each custom change has long term consequances and i think this would work for very short time and will leave high damage after

Thanks for considering what players ask for first of all. I have to vote on the forum because someone who cannot take constructive criticism thinks otherwise. WOTLK rhc suffers from one thing and that is forcing daily farm to get those daily 2 EOF. CATA fixed this by allowing a weekly cap of currency, no longer forcing you to log every day to farm emblems. This would allow people a lot of flexibility to log let´s say over the weekend, do the rhc farm and be done, instead of logging every day for one rhc. This fixes the problem and with its implementation, there is no need for any of the above options. It would still be "blizzlike", people would still receive the same amount of emblems per week from rhcs. Someone who has more time over the weekend could queue for a chain of rhcs, thus keeping the server more "active". Thus a win win for all. I cannot think of any mechanic in the game that would be affected by such a change.

#1 Lets say rule number 3 is accepted and u are playing this server for years u have tons of emblems u can transfer into EOF's now u can buy tons of primos, now u are crushing economy of market, now there are more people with shitoon of emblems, now u break economy for new players even more.
#2 This will not increase amount of RHC's being done daily and this is whole point to increase number of RHC's in general not during weekends only, people can play during weekends regardless to this option.
#3 I have been on TrueWoW almost since its beginnings and I have seen it all from transmog being implemented to cross factions chats, to cross factions raids etc etc.... nothing has ever brought people back if something every time TrueWoW has decided to implement something new and stray away from Blizzlike expirience, more and more people left...
What this server needs guys is not RHC changes neither any kind of else changes, it needs people it needs new souls and you guys the small community still playing on TrueWoW should have stayed tight together care about each other because there are not many of u left, this is reality sad one but it is curent reality. I would recommend u more to put efforts into promoting server since u have everything scripted very well and TrueWoW also has an open PTR (Public Test Realm) and since a lot of players are preaparing for LK release on retail they are looking for private servers to refresh their memory and skills so take this advantage and promote server around in about no time you will have active RHC's daily and u wont need to do any kind of implementations in game....

A decent idea. But keep in mind, that retail version was developed with big populations in mind, so not all their solutions will work in our situation. I think we just need more data to know what solution is good. If people are logging most days either way, this solution of yours might even be harmful (a lot of rhcs in first couple of days after reset and none on later days). I feel like this would only work well, if most of the people log only a couple of days a week.

I think we need something in between the options. Though I'd love exchanging 10 triumphs for 1 frosty, that seems to just help older players with a ton of triumphs. I'd say option 1 with a cap is best. Maybe allow a character to get a max of 5 or 6 frosties that way. I understand some of the comments talking about keep it blizz-like and promote the server more to bring more players. But I'm sure this vote doesn't come out of the blue. Current players must have brought up the issue. They're probably newer players who need rhc, not the veterans. I like the fact staff is trying to do something to keep the players already here and those who may not have time for raids have have fun doing rhcs.

I can't vote on Discord so I'll type here instead: all of those are poor suggestion made for the convenience of rewards without having to run RHCs.
I understand that population is low and so is interest, but if all you want is to stimulate activity without crashing the economy or stray too far from the WotLK-feel, why not simply make multiple Weeklies available for completion and delivery every week instead of just 1?
You could put up 2 at once (and be able to turn in both), and keep increasing to 3, 4, etc if not enough; could even go one step further and make sure there's specific raid weeklies available to indirectly funnel people into higher gear progression and make them more likely to run RHCs while waiting on groups to form. And since resources have to be spent to improve new gear it'd counteract the influx of emblems economically.
Plus if things actually went FUBAR it'd be extremely simple to just rollback with very little overall impact on the server as far as feelings of unfairness and such go

Low population is an issue, but the game isn't just the rhc at lvl 80 with a gear score above x. There are new people coming and leveling up characters for the first time, I bump into them quite often, and those people will take a long time to join rhc.
Worse, they sometimes can't get enough gear score to join rhc, and are stuck in an even worse wait, the normal random dungeon queue, which only works if people take time off to help them. (Yes, you can gear up through other means, but its the same kind of frustration)
Some people log more accounts just to fill that "last dps" spot, we do have a very helpful community at times, but then someone else logs on and needs another queue.
Some groups who only need to farm emblems of triumph make a premade group or just stick together, and the problem remains if you have a number of people that isn't a multiple of 5 (since 3 or 4 players cannot start a heroic random dungeon).
Some people just do not have the patience to go through an rhc with slower players or players who want/need to do all the bosses. If you're trying to help the newer players with less gear by implementing changes in the server beware of incentivizing "speedrunning" of rhc.
Every system can be exploited, and from the suggestions 1 and 2 I predict a case of increased toxicity from players wanting to speed run dungeons and no patience towards slower players, and suggestion 3 just broken economy, which might allow some players to not need to do rhc anymore because they have so many EOT. So pick your poison carefully.
If I understand the problem correctly, its the american timezone players that do not have enough people to go through the rhc queue, and the characters stuck at emblem of frost farm that cannot progress the gear climb.
My suggestion is to allow 3 or 4 player groups to enter the dungeon through the rhc queue.
Maybe instead of resetting the queue they could get in at the half hour mark, maybe make an npc that lets you start a dungeon by yourself and then people can join in through the normal rhc queue system (the same as when some of your party leaves).
If that is truly impossible, maybe allow players to farm EOF by manually walking into a dungeon (since that is possible with less than 5 players).

1)Those 4 proposals may impact the game mechanics but having a weekly cap for rhcs eofs does not. I am very well aware of what expansion this is. But this is also 2023 and average player in 2023 is not the same as average player (and playerbase in general) in 2010. Some modification may be required to keep the server alive, especially if no effort goes into marketing (my point 3)
2)We do not know yet how it will impact the server activity. Raids are also not done daily so there will be a natural spike in rhc activity and decline towards Tuesday.
3)I completely agree that this proposal only attempts to cure a symptom and not the problem itself. Much more effort needs to be done in server marketing. But since there is noone willing and able from the staff to do it, symptom cures like this are designed.
