Re: Primal: The Ironman Challenge.
Hello. I'm joining the Iron Man Challenge again. This time with a Draenei Warrior. Her name is DontDraeniMe.

Short answer: nopepal wrote: ↑23 May 2017 19:26Since TBC is almost out and the Ironman Challenge level is now raised to 70 could i suggest to add a Flightmount as an additional reward? Now that the idea is planted in everyone's head let me propose some options
Even though an 280% (310% pretty please) would be the dream but a 60% would already be a sweet deal.
For completing the Ironman Challenge 1-70 an 60% mount (280)
For completing the Blood Thirsty Challenge 1-70 an 280% mount (310)
Please consider this proposal and don't kill me. Thanks!
Long answer: When the challenge started there was no reward. You got your name in a list on the forum and the whole point of the it was to challenge yourself to see if you could do it. After some months the devs gave us a 60% mount. Later one of the devs edited the mount to be 100%. It is a unique mount that cannot be obtained any other way. If you see someone on it, you know they have completed the Ironman Challenge. Currently there are less than 20 on the realm. Adding mounts for such a small number of people is counterproductive - there's a finite number of special mounts and this would make less available for other challenges and rewards.
There seems to me to be no point in adding a new mount or separating the Ironman and Bloodthirsty challenges by awarding different mount to each. The challenge is the same - level to cap without dying. Ironmen who get to 70 will have talents and races available to them that the lvl 60 Ironmen didn't and so levels 40-60 is easier for them than it was for the earlier contestants - which is made up for by the extra ten levels.
Separating Ironman and Bloodthirsty and rewarding different mounts also seems wrong to me. It is purely a preference deal. Some people love grinding, some hate it. When grinding your way to cap you can choose the mobs you kill and can pull mobs safely and easily. It's countered by the boredom. When questing you are often put in positions that will kill you - caves, nasty mobs, all sorts. I don't see one as harder than the other, it is preference that makes it easier or harder for you. So I am not going to give a better mount to people who grind as opposed to people who quest. Personally I think questing is the harder road - others disagree.
So, while your suggestion (with caveats) has merit, it has been suggested before on occasion and each time I examine the competition and feel that it's fine the way it is.

1. No, the mount is bound to the account you did the challenge at.
2. Yes, the reward is the same for both challenges.

Ah crapnuggets. If outgoing mail from a contestant is returned(due to timeout), what do we do? I believe Portio may have "received" auto-returned mail.

receiving outgoing mail back is fine, you sent it in the first place so it is no trouble to get it back.TheTrygianLorekeeper wrote: ↑03 Jun 2017 20:30Ah crapnuggets.
