Sad, indeed.

Exactly what most countries around the world face nowadays... Governments everywhere are walking towards Communism.
What they do not know is that, after merely 25 years after the first edition of the "Communist Manifesto" (written by Karl Marx & Frederick Engels), it was already outdated, and even the authors recognised that...
Karl Marx & Frederick Engels (1872) wrote:(...), although, in principle still correct, yet in practice are antiquated, because the political situation has been entirely changed, and the progress of history has swept from off the earth the greater portion of political parties there enumerated.
Now, let's imagine how outdated the Manifesto is today (remember, it was published 169 years ago :o ).

The Capitalist Economic System, at the time of the Manifesto (1848), was way too different from today's version... It improved to the point where the whole Communist idea is no longer applicable or valid, because Communism is fundamentally flawed. ;)

Regarding U.S. politics, I do respect Obama and the Democratic Party, but some of their principles are not really going to work. I mean, yeah, people might like free stuff from the government... but, is it really free???
Tell me again, where does the government get their money from???
Yes, that's right... from you!

In my opinion, less "aid programmes" are better for the system, for the government and (mainly) for the people, as it means (or, at least should mean) less/lower taxes.

The Social-Democracy idea is a slow progress into Socialism, in case you did not know... and the current situation United States is facing is already in a grave state in some other countries... like Brazil (which doesn't have a single right-wing or neo-liberal party  - just left-wingers - ranging from the "light" Social-Democracy to an "extreme" Communism).
The "Norse model" people speak so much about, is nothing but a Capitalism-Socialism transition (more or less like Social-Democracy). Yes it's working now, as their current state is still Capitalist, but, for how long?

I blame KK for getting this thread into politics

And no, I'm not Alt-Right (but definitely a right-winger).

Yep, Venezuela waited too late, I feel better about Brazil~ everything government touches it makes more expensive~
This guy saw the 2008 crisis coming before it happened and this is an interesting take on it
Peter Schiff~ "My Mortgage Bankers Speech from Nov 13th 2006 is now in one video clip. I gave this presentation at the the Western Regional Mortgage Bankers Conference in Las Vegas. There were over 2,000 mortgage bankers in attendance. I also made similar comments when I addressed this conference a year earlier in 2005 at the height of the real estate bubble. For those people who said no one saw it coming, this presentation is a real eye opener. Let's see if we can get this clip to go viral."
