The Ironman Challenge.
Re: Primal: The Ironman Challenge.
Is the challenge still going ?
Re: Primal: The Ironman Challenge.
As said, this challenge is intended to run for the life of the server, so yes, it is still going - and this thread is updated frequently..vlad0002 wrote:Is the challenge still going ?

Re: Primal: The Ironman Challenge.
This is an awesome idea. It certainly sounds interesting.
I've got some questions though:
What if I got combat bug, logged off and on and now I'm dead? Am I disqualified?
What if I unintentionally equipped some green quest reward item, but removed it as soon as I noticed the mistake? (I didn't do anything or kill anyone with that) Am I disqualified?
Is any race-class combination allowed? I mean, Night Elf Hunters have a slight advantage over others with Shadowmeld and Feign Death.
Thanks in advance.
Bonus question: If I manage to get Going Down? achievement before level 2 , do I get something special???

Welcome aboard, Brennus, I hope you enjoy the challenge.Brennus wrote:What if I got combat bug, logged off and on and now I'm dead? Am I disqualified?

If you die, you die and that is disqualification. Many of us have bad connections and one of the reasons to play a pet class is the hope that your pet will save you in the event of a disconnection.
Equipping a green, blue or purple is also disqualification. (The rules need to be completely unambiguous or someone will end up taking advantage and trying to equip greens but log off in whites or something stupid)
Any race/class is allowed and if you can stand playing a night elf, go for it. Know however, that your night elf toon earns my undying loathing. Ask anyone, I hate night elves.
Bonus answer, yes - you get an achievement called Going Down!

I for one can't stand Humans and Taurens... (Even though I have a TW human mage . Not for long I hope, faction transfer ftw!).Venna wrote:Know however, that your night elf toon earns my undying loathing. Ask anyone, I hate night elves.

Unfortunately I'm not gonna play that much (I'm barely playing my main because of real life stuff). Is it OK two or three levels per month?
In case the answer is yes, sign me in for the Blood Thirsty Challenge!!!
Arashicage (Orc Warrior)
Thanks.

That's fine, just as long as you play occasionally, you place will be updated and you will remain in the competition.Brennus wrote:Unfortunately I'm not gonna play that much (I'm barely playing my main because of real life stuff). Is it OK two or three levels per month?

Re: Primal: The Ironman Challenge.
It's said that talents are not allowed on the wowchallenges but there are no information about it on your post, are we allowed to use talents or not?No Talents allowed. Break this rule and your character is RED FLAGGED.

Talents ARE allowed here.berke wrote:It's said that talents are not allowed on the wowchallenges but there are no information about it on your post, are we allowed to use talents or not?No Talents allowed. Break this rule and your character is RED FLAGGED.
The original challenge prohibits talents because (after recent patches) Retail "talents" became a joke and doesn't really help you much.
.Venna wrote:Q: Am I allowed to spend skill points ?
A: Yes you may spend skill points.
Hope it helps.Venna wrote:Because this is Primal and Wrath based. On live talents are different, you get like five(?) for 100 levels so not having talents makes no difference, really. Here talents make a massive difference and if they were no allowed, it is unlikely an untalented player could kill equal levels after about 40.Gnurg wrote:How come talents are allowed? The offical IMC/BTC didn't allow, and it makes it a breeze to level as a BM hunter.

Re: Primal: The Ironman Challenge.
why are profs disable here? they were part of ironman challengues at first, until blizz allows exp to be earned by collecting or crafting
Re: Primal: The Ironman Challenge.
In my opinion, Gathering Professions should be allowed, as their bonuses were disabled on PW.fernaxv2 wrote:why are profs disable here? they were part of ironman challengues at first, until blizz allows exp to be earned by collecting or crafting
About the Tradeskill Professions, they have the potential of improving your survivability (like engineering bombs, leatherworking armor reinforcements).
Probably this is the same reason asking for buffs is not allowed.
