If there'd be lair guards, it would've been a different story. The mechanics for the fight are all extremely simple, and yet there are wipes when people know what to do borderline perfectly. Heals nerfed and all mana costs increased, but there's little to do with all that when people have the time to stop and regen mana for long periods. People doesn't take too much damage because the mechanics just doesn't put out much damage overall; simply because the vast majority of the damage can be avoided it people are focused on it. People can drop 70% -80% of their max hp in one fireball in phase 2, but she doesn't cast them often enough for that to be an issue.Relevant wrote:Sacre12 wrote:2 wipesSacre12 wrote:Overall she feels VERY overtuned

Phase 1 is very easy as long as the tank is somewhat geared. Phase two is only really difficult when the whelps spawn and you have a deep breath or fireball on the whelp groups at the same time; but that is rarely enough to impose any real difficulty.
Overtuning a boss increases the difficulty, yes, but if noone dies to deep breath, fireballs, noone gets hit by tailswipe etc, tanks manage to get aggro on whelps with shield block up... There's simply not much damage left to take.
Phase 3 seems to be the most difficult one by far, with groups of whelps running around and the tank taking rather large amounts of damage from the same abilities, with AoE fears interrupting heals and eruptions dealing not only extra to the tank, but also to everybody.
If you want to overtune her even further, one can increase the difficulty of the fight by making all her melee abilities basically oneshot any tank. Then all we need are 20 prot warriors rotating shield wall, 5-10 healers and the rest rdps, and there you go. Still doable due to mechanics, but it would in the same way be ridiculously overtuned.
tl;dr: *feels* far more overtuned than any of the MC bosses, still doable just 'cause the fight mechanics are cake.

I gotcha. So basically, if you aren't perfect on your mechanics, it's gonna suck, otherwise, it's doable, right?

Not necessarily required to be perfect on them. But in a sense, yeah. It's rather simple to not make any relevant (No pun intended) mistakes if you know what you're doing, it's just that when they occur, it can be very punishing.
