[Rejected] Opening 3v3 and 5v5 Queues at weekends only

This was suggested in the topic linked above and since it seems like something we would possibly consider, I'd like to step ahead and do the public opinion researching about the proposal.

So, what's the overall opinion on this?

The good sides are that having everyone log at specific times might increase the activity in that period. The bad side is that it'll be dead the rest of the week, being available only 2v2 queues.

I'll be posting this as a pool but i'd like people to comment why do they think it's a bad or good idea.

well maybe not weekends but peak times so people dont farm at 4am server time hoping not to be caught wintrading.

Many votes, so few comments. So far, it's a technical tie. I believe comments would be more valuable than votes only, even though this is merely an opinion research.

This poll is about making 3vs3 arenas available only in weekends and maybe during the other days at peak times like Docmin said.

What he meant is that, by disabling 2v2 on weekends, you're "forcing" people to play 3v3 or 5v5.

+1 for the main idea.

Pushing 2v2 people to go 3v3 and 5v5 by disable 2v2 would not be polite but would be effective. On that well l cant say lm in or against.

Locking 3v3 and 5v5 while 2v2 would still run is definitive bad. It simply wont affect anything but even more lowering those brackets. l am against.

There is no need to do anything about 2v2 at the moment in my opinion and disabling it would not help 3v3. On the other hand, allowing people to queue 3v3 only at specific times when there is highest amount of players online (this can be seen on server's online charts page) gives them higher opportunity to find enemies faster, and also there is less chance of "feeding" or "wintrading" because more PvP oriented players will be online at this time.

Weekends + peak times on other days as Justice suggested, would be best option in my opinion.

voted yes, cuz I was reading alot about wintrading problem and saw few ppl already banned for that.

However... to avoid 4am arena OP guys you can just disable 3v3 and 5v5 after midnight and re-enable it in 10:00 (or any time u think fits it better).
Just my pov on it.

Any person or group of people rather, are able to queue at any time they wish to organise some games. However, this should hopefully segment all those people into one on the weekends to stimulate those 3v3 and 5v5 arenas. Definitely would support it.

Seems people didn't understood. This is about moving 3s to weekends and MAYBE enabling them during peak times each day.

The 2vs2 arena will stay UNTOUCHED.

Maybe do an other poll with my suggestion in it? You know, more options and it is just for researching purposes, right?

On topic: Before I give my outsider opinion (I don't do arenas), is there any data of the days and the times in which each type of arena (2s, 3s and 5s) occur more often? Because, if it happens to be on weekends, in which also happens the population peak, it wouldn't do much of anything but to harm 3s and 5s by giving 5 days of exclusivity to 2s, while 2s still being availbale on weekends. 2s are already way more popular than 3s and 5s, but this suggestion would make 2s inherently so.

I guess those who voted no have no explanations or whatsoever.

I'm not the one who should be talking about this in first place but kinda makes me wonder. 50-50 poll result and comments are only from those who support it.
Someone could think that guys who voted "no" are supporting wintrading instead of fair system for everyone.

Imo weekends only are not "fair for everyone". For example, If I played 80 content I would never be able to play arenas or maybe just for some short period of time. Weekend is when i'm mostly busy with irl stuff entire day. Not sure if anyone else feels the same, but I like to spend weekends for what weekends are ment to be, family & friends.
As I said in previous post, to avoid after midnight gladiators just disable 3v3 and 5v5 after 00:00 and open it again in whatever time you think it's best. Maybe it even can be scripted so you dont need gm to do it every time... /shurg

It's "more blizzlike" than to have weekend arenas only AND solves problem of wintrading in hours when there is like 50-70 ppl online (could be more, i'm not usually online after 01:00)

Meh, this isn't my concern after all, but that's what I think would be best solution.
