Rogue [Stealth]

#1 » Post by keez » 02 Dec 2013 01:03

As you all know rogue's dont get out of stealth when they are hit by dmg if they have a shield from priest or pala. You can only get in combat but they stay in stealth making it impossible to avoid saps even if you do AOE in the right place.

In PvP, this spell can be a huge boon to bestow on Rogues and Feral Druids. Any damage taken will unstealth a character. However, if you Power Word: Shield a Rogue, AoE damage that doesn't get through the shield is absorbed, which greatly increases the difficulty of finding a Rogue by laying down an AoE. Power Word: Shield will also absorb the damage from DoT's, allowing DoT'd Rogues to Vanish safely. Just know that if the AoE or DoT damage is greater than the shield will take, then the actual character will take damage and stealth will become undone.

Working as it should. Unless, I have missed what you're trying to report. In that case, reply to this.

Any direct damage done to you with shield will remove you from stealth. Periodic damage will not remove your stealth as long as the effect has persisted before you were affected by it. This means your stealth will not be removed after you have received a periodic damage dealing debuff, and will not be removed if you walk into Consecration/Death and Decay. However, the initial cast of periodic damage debuffs on you in stealth will remove you from it, and if a Consecration or a Death and Decay is cast on top of you, it will remove you regardless of absorption buff. Channeled AoEs count as direct damage per hit.

and this is direct dmg http://i.imgur.com/qfnFrW6.png

Any direct non-absorbed damage will remove you from stealth. If the damage is entirely absorbed, then the rogue hasn't taken any direct damage.

Where are your informations taken from?

About the combat part, I guess it does put them in combat but since no further action happens it just fades off. Haven't tested, just guessing.

If it should only not break on absorbed DoT or AoE (i.e your sources prove to be reliable) then I'll look into it otherwise it's working as it should :P

I don't see that written anywhere. Other private servers aren't reliable and will not be accepted as information source.

Still a private server. Still prone to bugs and misinformed people. Still no one comes up with retail sources. Just saying.

At least send me in a pm the link to the topic you have taken it from.

It does..go test it.
As for the other thing:
"anything on the ground won't break them out (set it and forget it). "
for example: blizzard will brake it
