Downscaling of 25man raids

#1 » Post by kongen » 21 Feb 2019 11:20

Hey Guys..

So since its official that Exalted Reputation has stopped playing on Primal what do u guys think about scaling 25man raids down to 10 or 15 man raids ?

Think it might be better for the community since we will lack alot of raiders now.

Maybe some increased weekend XP-rates to lure in new players ?

I realy love the server and now im just a bit unsure about the future here =|

Hope to hear from u.

Regards Headzhot

Unconventional idea but due to the low pops on both realms, might be worth considering.

Solution is to close that half breed PW realm and merge wit TW wotlk realm...end of story...

To PW specifically

While the officers of ER are likely to move completely to a new server, there will still be other players that are likely to play on Primal, albeit at a reduced pace.

I personally think increasing the loot rewards from 2-3 drops from the average boss to 4 drops would be nice and encourage more 25 mans out of Sanctuary, which has always been able to fill with the help of random world players and ER.

I do think there is a case to nerf most 25 man raids to suite Sanctuary and pugs though, but not at such a state where they could be completed by 10 or 15 people (I think a couple 25 man raids/bosses could be completed by 15 ER players already anyway)

i think it would be a good idea to remove attunement requirements for hyjal and BT and also give them nerfs.

flex raid would be perfect for the server atm, too bad its not easy to implement.

I think we just need to hold out until Wotlk is released, then there is sure too be a boom in population. Until then, maybe we just need to promote the server more.

At the least hyjal. BT is still a decent one but it can be the players choice weather or not to take the bonus rep from a few quests. The nerf might aswell throw in, it's 'being farmed' by ER's raid loggers.

Honestly at this point not a bad idea. Sadly.
If sanctuary is the only raiding guild left on the server, BT and SWP wont be completed (no offense towards them they're great people), so there isn't much of a point to push another god knows how many months until SWP just for a few ER people to trash farm.

I'm hoping natnat123 mispoke when he said that the attunements will be removed and that he meant to say that the attunement will no longer be required but the quest chain will be left intact and doable, similar to how the Kara/SSC/TK attunements were made optional.

As a member of ER I can safely say, you don't need to worry about us raid logging to farm BT or any other raid on Primal.
Maybe some like me would still log on Primal cause we aren't leaving but the majority of the guilds raiding team has moved on.
And TBH most of ER has been raid logging for a long time now, with only a handful logging regardless of it being a raid night or not (but even most of them have moved onto the new server) so ER is kind of a ghost guild these past few days.

Sanctuary struggles with SSC already so I'm not sure how much we should nerf T6 content. Flex raid would be cool but not realistic option I guess.

About the future of Primal. There is a good chance that ZA can be released I think which would be new content for both Sanctuary and for some ER players. SWP won't happen so better to just begin wotlk expansion after that, with good timing if possible.

Whats the point of combining both realms? Two dead realms wont make for a populated realm, especially since Truewow has already been progressed Ruby Sanctum YEARS ago. It would defeat the purpose of Primal if it skipped all wotlk progression.

I was actually thinking this same thing ever since I left my previous comment.

A large majority of players are (to my knowledge) planning on returning for WOTLK release on primal, and just putting our T6 server with our totally maxxed out T10 server would N O T help that. There would probably be less primal players playing at that point as they
1) need to level 70-80
2) need to gear up before entering even ToC 10 normal, let alone anything higher difficulty
3) Proffs
ect, while Truewow players, tho they might welcome them and help them, with the close to dead populations it would be much harder.

Hopefully they pass the baton up to the rest of ER to continue ~
