[Rejected] Enabled Sealed Scroll Case to Balance Recipe Collection {PW}
As I am sure all Enchanters/Jewelcrafters/Alchemists etc. are aware, it is way too hard to get ahold of some of the rare recipes on PrimalWow right now. That is partly due to broken loot tables, but mostly due to the low player count at the moment.
So players are forced to go out and farm random mobs for 0.01% drop chances and can't even be sure if it ever drops because the armory data is incorrect.
https://truewow.org/armory/item.php?item=33926&realm=t
This item was implemented with Zul'Aman, and it was Blizzard's way to 'fix' the problem.
It had realistic drop chances for most of those elusive recipes, and even darkmoon cards iirc.
It's also easy to control what it drops and how often. Say for some reason there is one recipe that we don't want to put out, it's easy to remove it from the Scroll Case. Or if in the future another recipe is released it can be added to the Scroll Case, too, and so on.
My suggestion would be to add this item to the loot tables of heroic dungeon's last bosses.
That should also boost RDF activity.
I think the Scroll Case is an easier and more realistic solution than adding hundreds of recipes to hundreds of mobs one by one.

Re: Band-Aid Solution for Elusive Recipes
I like the concept. Not only will this help getting rare recipes and boosting rdf pop, but some of those enchants will help a crap tonne when it comes to raiding.
So I agree

Re: Band-Aid Solution for Elusive Recipes
I like the idea if everyone in the group can pick it up, and it has the chance to drop any available recipe...

Re: Band-Aid Solution for Elusive Recipes
if we add the scroll case, thats 1 item to add that allready contains the recipes. if we just add the recipes to the bosses. thats about 30+ items we need to add. the recipes from the scroll case are also boe. so who ever wins it can trade/sell the recipe.

around 70 recipes, all the same chance to drop. from the case

Re: Band-Aid Solution for Elusive Recipes
I don't play on PW and can't really say for the situation there but doesn't it make these rare recipes a lot easier to get if you put it on rdf bosses? O.o. Makes it too easy. Some recipes are meant to be hard to get, and not everyone should have them unless they spend the hours of farming it. This seems to skipping part of the game that is the massive grinding.
Would also make it unfair to the players who spent hours grinding these recipes and then others can get it from rdf bosses.
I wont vote since I don't play there and it's just ridiculous for me to do so since it doesn't affect me.

Re: Band-Aid Solution for Elusive Recipes
It's all random, but like Natnat said the recipes from the case are BoE. So you can put the recipes on the AH even if you have no professions on the character that you are running dungeons with. Also, even if you are unlucky and can't get the recipe you want, chances are someone else hopefully put it on the AH.

Re: Band-Aid Solution for Elusive Recipes
Nobody that I know of ever grinded a specific mob succesfully to get one specific recipe. That is because as mentioned, many loot tables are incorrect and the armory shows even more incorrect data.
For example: AFAIK 2 players on the server have this recipe https://truewow.org/armory/item.php?item=22903&realm=p
One of them stopped playing, the other one either has no idea how important this potion is, or worse they do know and are still not putting it on the AH.
Nobody ever grinds any of these recipes, they just drop randomly, mostly from stuff that aren't even supposed to drop them. Then they are put on the AH for absurd prices, or not even auctioned publicly, or vendored or left in banks because they are so rare that most players don't even know what they are.

Re: Band-Aid Solution for Elusive Recipes (PRIMAL)
Okay, maybe I put my own experiences in it too much. I am used to grind specific mobs for recipes as it's the wow culture and have been on TW at least. I remember grinding mobs for Elixir of giant growth, Saviory Deviate fish etc. But again, might not be the same in tbc expansion.
But seems the issue is flawed loot tables and incorrect data from armory that can be fixed and not making this custom fix.

The armoury reads directly from the database, it never lies.
