Heirlooms on PrimalWoW
Hi, i'm Shadowsilver, and i'm an altoholic. *ahem* wrong thread *ahem*
My suggestion is to add heirloom items to Badge of Justice vendor, although in a slightly nerfed version so that they do not work past 70 (so that they don't become BiS for the initial Wrath rush, when that time comes.
I know it is not blizzlike to have heirlooms on a TBC server, but i think it would help both on 70 HC poplation (gives a lot of people incentive to grind heroics again), and it would be a welcome boon to people that want to level new alts, but is just fairly exhausted in some level gaps. More people wanting to level alts can also increase dungeon frequency at those levels, giving more breaths of "stale dungeon air" for both new players and the veterans that may start playing their alts more with heirlooms.
The only consequence of heirlooms i can take a guess at might be the low level battlegrounds, a issue first seen on retail, when a newbie joins WSG and gets stomped by a lvl 19 twink in enchanted heirlooms, it's actually blizzlike.

Why not, a year or so ago I would have probably disagreed but with all the transfers I think it will do no harm now.
Somewhere between 0 and +1 ^^

Re: Heirlooms on PrimalWoW
Not a bad idea if you ask me +1
Re: Heirlooms on PrimalWoW
gotta agree with this one +1
Re: Heirlooms on PrimalWoW
as long as it would get locked at 60-65 ish i see no problem with this +1
Re: Heirlooms on PrimalWoW
I'm OK with this. Not sure how many new people are being brought it and might be equally effective to encourage people to make alts as much as possible, which is often a strong alternative to raid-logging.
Re: Heirlooms on PrimalWoW
i did some testing and 67 would be the absolute highest they should go anything beyond that and the items become as good as raid items
however im still very much for this idea as long as they get locked at 67 or before that

This could also help ensure people are a little more geared for heroic dungeons. I've run into a lot of really poorly geared heroic groups now that its only honored required for the key.
Re: Heirlooms on PrimalWoW
they shouldnt be used above level 67 because then they become as good as raid items since they scale up to wrath statsmweldinger wrote: ↑16 Oct 2017 22:26This could also help ensure people are a little more geared for heroic dungeons. Re: Heirlooms on PrimalWoW
Oh I thought you meant their stats would stop scaling at 67, but you could still use them. Not that you couldnt even equip them past 67
Re: Heirlooms on PrimalWoW
if this could be done yeah sure but then im not so sure about 67 since they need to be significantly less impactful than the loot from hcsmweldinger wrote: ↑17 Oct 2017 20:15Oh I thought you meant their stats would stop scaling at 67, but you could still use them.
