I was always against increasing leveling rates for several reasons. The biggest of them being that leveling is supposed to be a 'Noob Filter'. Noobs either git gud or quit when leveling.

It's obvious, though, that it's not working anymore. Is it the full transfers? Who knows, fact is my hunter pet was more useful than many group members in normal RDF 60-70.

I personally wouldn't mind increasing rates if it meant an increase in pop (I know there is no guarantee).

Btw, if you want to get anywhere with any of your suggestions, try making seperate threads where people can discuss and +1/-1 on each suggestion. A post like this is just not defined enough and will end up nowhere.
I didn't want to make 6 different threads at the same time.

Having a "noob filter" isn't necessarily a good thing as most people are noobs.

Also it's really hard to hold aggro with you in a group.

There will be leveling events to incentive leveling.

Lowering dual spec costs was already discussed before. It really isn't fair to those who already bought it, and being one of the few gold sinks there is, it wouldn't do good to have it gone. Making gold at TBC is already way easier than it was at vanilla, and it will be even more so at WotLK.

Using the logic it isn't fair to people that have already bought it isn't great because you could avoid making changes to anything with that. The main reason for lowering it's cost is to help with the dungeon queues at lower level rather than at max level.

By 'noob filter' I don't mean to discourage new players. My point is that a challenging leveling phase is supposed to teach newbies how to play the game. It doesn't seem to work though, making leveling very tedious for people who have leveled before and aren't able to transfer for w/e reason (e.g. char got deleted).

My point wasn't made against you.
Aggro is superficial, what matters is that the enemy dies as fast as possible and that your group survives ^_^

What class were you? I did a pretty large amount of runs and it mostly seemed to depend on the group and dungeon i was in. If it was my first time running that dungeon i was more likely to die and one of them was bugged.

Think of buying a duel specc with more gold as meaning that you got your duel specc much earlier, also gold prices go down like riding skill costs

Can you elaborate further?
I'm having a bit of trouble leveling at the moment because two of the dungeon bosses are bugged, the one at the end of manatombs nexus prince shaffar and the hydra one that spits acid. The bosses seem to like to drop the same loot over and over but the loot they drop is based on the day but it does change occasionally. I usually like to spam dungeons to level. Nagrand quests are buggy too.

Ah makes sense, usually was about 5x my dps which made it difficult for me to hold aggro but he was level 69 to my level 63.

Shirrak the dead watcher is also nearly impossible to beat on normal. It sucks how many of the dungeon bosses are messed up.

not nearly impossible, but very hard if you dont have a good group setup. needs a nerf no matter how many people say its BS. should not be as hard as it is on normal currently

It seems like some of the bosses can only be beaten if you have a specific set up with a specific trick. Otherwise you're doomed.
