[REJECTED] Boosting queues with a Reward for joining RBG / RDF alone

I was thinking how to encourage people to join BGs and RDF at any level, and I had the following idea:
There could be a small (small) [SMALL] reward just to stay in queue for RBGs and RDF for a certain amount of time.

Works better if I make an example.
There are almost no BGs at low level, because the number of eligible online players are often just enough to make one. By adding a small reward of (50?) honor every 30 minutes in BG queue you would:
- encourage people to join BGs
- give a tool to the low levels to get pvp rewards that are impossible to get in this state of the server

Another example with RDF, the reward could be a small amount of experience. With RHC could be (three?) emblems of triumph every 30 minutes in queue.

Of course you need some safety measures to prevent people from exploiting it, namely:
- reward denied if the char is afk (prevent log-in and afk for reward farm)
- reward denied and reward lock for quite a lot of time if the char refuses the accept the dungeon/BG invite AND reward lock for LONG time if they refuse more invites in a row
- scale or deny the reward for queuing peculiar things, like queuing Alterac Valley at low level or queuing a specific Heroic dungeon at lv 80.

Hope you see the same potential I see. Let me know what you guys think about it.

This seems hard to implement, technically. Would probably require some custom AFK counters? There's just a ton of conditions in your suggestion.

Pretty sure they meant that the honor stacks up in a variable (think treasure chest), while you're in queue, and you only open it after you accept a popped BG. Not every time interval, but just at the end everything, as a single burst if you accepted.

I don't see this as something quite effective. Playing the game itself is far more rewarding than the rewards proposed by just being in the queue. So if that reward is not enough to motivate people, then chances are that being rewarded for being in the queue will probably not move people into playing. It would probably be more effective to reward them at the end of the process in that case.

Not sure what you mean as 'rewarding'. In case you mean the 'fun' related to the gaming experience, you prob picture it as someone waiting for the queue to pop. As I mentioned non-80s before, they would be grinding in the meantime. Hell, people is already doing nothing waiting for queues in the other cases, must as well take some rewards for it.

If you mean it as in-game currencies instead, my proposal's kind of reward is exactly meant for the times when the normal reward is not possible to achieve. Long queue = people not queuing = no BG/dungeon...

Does that change your point of view? If not, whatever, scrap it.

Hold on, how about get reward based on how long you waited in queue before you enter BG? That way people wont decline BG and get reward.
