It's already been pointed out that there should be an arena for people to be free to express themselves in whatever way they wish. Taking that away from /world would imply taking away their freedom of speech. On top of that, my ideal chat is a bit racial, so I don't think everyone would be too happy if /world turned out like that.

I'd rather keep it a new channel, so people are free to swear and harass each other on /world.

+1. Can also help you with making algorithm which will mute people automatically when they say racist words

It would be cool if this algorithm could detect people macro-drawing swastikas all over the chat.

Should be plenty open-source irc bots that do the same at high performance with low cost. No need to make something that already exists.

Could just prevent them from writing any symbols. They're just annoying anyways.
