Increase interest for new people to level more chars

As the topic name says we need something to give more interest to new people to level more alts and to future Truewow players to start playing here. So my idea is to use something same as Blizzard did if I am not wrong.
We could make something like 1 week players are getting 2x expirience from RDF's, then other week 2x expirience from mobs and quests and we would change this each week. In this way we would also give more interest for people to que low lvl dungeons, but with switching expirience each week from RDF's to quests and mobs, we would still keep the balance in players doing quests aswell.
So give your opinions, if I am not wrong this is Blizzlike feature and it shouldnt be hard to script aswell.

I had suggested this as an alternative to http://www.truewow.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=35963 so it's "lighter" and less aggressive, but there are all of those points I mentioned and were mentioned by the rest of the staff to be considered when it comes to anything related to "XP", but in general this has a bonus of potentially increasing content activity (dungeons, etc) so I'm more favorable to this solution

just give to every new player free lvl 80 ... I dont understand how server will profit with more alts ... if you want to increase population you need new players, no same old players which have 10 characters but with this " bonus " they will have 15

This benefits the already existing playerbase more than newcomers. Leveling alts hardly do anything for the population numbers.

If the main draw to the server is being blizzlike, increasing the exp rates will actually drive players that seek a blizzlike server further away. And for people that are lazy to level up from scratch, the increase from 1x to 2x will not seem attractive enough to justify starting on the server.

-1 cuz rates that aren't 1x are for servers with awful quest scripting (TW isn't one of those, as almost every quest is well-scripted here)

I said -1 to his topic because his topic wouldnt make everyone equal since there are people who dont know how to even log forum and do voting. If we will have something that needs to include voting then I am only up to x2 loot last week in month if server hits top10 on votes.

Implementing anything that brings in new players is ALWAYS A GOOD THING.

Even if existing players uses this to level new alts, at least pre-80 activity would be happening.

x3 levelling is not really much at all but it would at least entice new players to bother levelling a character here.

Think from the perspective of a new player randomly browsing for a new server. Would you be willing to invest HOURS AND

HOURS of time on a x1 starting from ZERO when the population is low, the PvP quality is very low and the PvE quality

somewhat average.

OR you pick retail/other private servers with a higher player count.

And finally,

Also they do level boosts to lv100.

TL;DR

Just think of a way to let new players make characters here easily without really benefitting the existing playerbase.

An example would be to optionally allow newly made accounts to level with x3 for X months BUT with a 1 year permanent IP

lock. If an existing player wants to exploit this then they would have to play through a VPN for a year.

Also, even retail has made the game casual- friendly which is ALWAYS a good thing (activity-wise)

I like Longi's idea better. People will roll alts anyway if they stay.

Also +1 for Arnis's idea.
