[Rejected] Loosening Transmog restrictions

#1 » Post by Gerfalx » 30 Apr 2016 23:26

Could we have main-hand, one-hand and off-hand subtypes of a particular weapon type counted as the same type? So that we can, for instance, transmog one-hand dagger into main-hand one.

P.S. Right now main-hand CAN be transmogged into one-hand, but NOT vice versa. Haven't tested with an off-hand.

I'd say that trying is the best one can do in order to higher themselves from the people crying and only complaining. Whilst you try, it doesn't mean it is always going to be the most successful result but I'd like to think that it is still a better choice than standing idle.

nyeriah already answered this. it's being worked on I believe. restrictions should be less strict soon enough if things work out without trouble

aaaaaaaand matsy.

you're against the non blizzlike things, but this kind of transmogrification exists on retail as we speak. I don't see why you're so against this now, even though I see why you're against legendary transmogs

Transmog in wotlk is already non-Blizzlike. Given that we have this transmog, who cares if it's close to the "retail Cata" transmog rules vs "retail WoD" transmog rules, or patch 9.1 from 2019 transmog rules? It's an arbitrary choice anyway. Transmog in wotlk in any form is already not Blizzlike, so either we shouldn't have it at all, or we should have whatever the hell we want.

I agree with mcheka, as long as its disabled by default, I for one have no issues with what ever form of transmog we have on TW.
So +1 to this suggestion as well.

Ever since this was implemented, demands keep on going, players already want free gear to vendors and shop and items that you shouldn't be able to transmog be added to the list so it doesn't matter anymore what will change regarding this feature so why not? We can just have it disabled by command the moment we don't like it.

I was OK with this feature even if I am not using it currently and not sure if I will but as expected players will only want more and with every small change the server will become more custom/fun compared to the blizzlike experience players signed on for when they started playing here.

It starts to feel like a downward spiral indeed, small custom changes are added alot lately soon you can remove the blizzlike from our description of the server, even if its just visual, why not change barrens to cata barrens, it looks cooler and its just visual etc.

All these "custom changes" are literally just improving 1 TOGGLED-OFF by DEFAULT (i.e. OPTIONAL) feature that blizzard implemented in latter patches. Some people just like beeing purposely dense >:( .
