[Rejected] Delete inactive level 1 characters

My suggestion is that all level 1 characters that are inactive, gets deleted.

I'm not talking about those that have a level 1 twink or those who use their level 1 character as a banking alt for AH. I'm specifically talking about characters that are created for the sake of reserving a name... and then never played on, or used.

There are a ton of level 1 characters just created, and never played on.

I have names reserved as welll, and never loged chars after I made them , only reserved names

More reason to delete the reserved name characters then. If the character was created for the simple reason of name reservation... why not just use the character?

It seems to me that there's selfishness in name reservation. Reserving a name, not because you like it, or want to use it, but simply to prevent other players from using the name.

On serious note, if active people would level their lvl 1 chars to lvl 2, that would not affect base idea of this suggestion, which is to get rid of lvl 1 chars that are long forgotten by their owners.

I obviusly reserved thse names in case I want to use the name at some point , which can be in a week , a month or 6 months , maybe even more .

I am both for and against this, but it has already been discussed in another topic which was set as "pending", someone already put a reference to it. Making only lvl 1's be deleted won't solve too much of the problem as people will simply get 500 (I think) experience (that's 10 mobs killed (since they give 50 xp each at start)) and then just afk for 2 years again.

Another solution would be to increase that cap. In stead of only level 1's, all inactive characters (a year or more) up to level 10 (excluding banking alt's and lowbie twinks). I doubt people would run around for hours just to get their characters past a certain level to avoid being deleted.

But you do have a point.

Idk why everyone nags about freeing inactive char names???

1st of all blizzard did that only after like 7 years of existance of wow and they had like 10000 times the amount of chars created.

So if it wasn't a problem on blizzard that has that much times amount of chars , why make it problem here?

Do I know some names that are taken by inactive people? Sure I do, but suck it up and take another name.

To be fair, there are pretty many dicks on the server who might just pick a very similar name to someone else and start trolling around and acting like them for their own amusement. So i don't see anything wrong locking such names for your own use or to avoid such situations.

Think i even have the name "Nemek" on some account as level one, just for the sake of no one else just trolling with it. (Those who know him, Spermik thing)
