[Rejected] Remove announcement topic from list if user has read

#1 » Post by Fastor » 05 Oct 2015 00:47

Every single subforum that we open we see Announcements Topics that are just taking space after people read it.

My suggestion is that leave Announcement Topic on top UNTIL user read it. After that no need to point it out to user anymore, it is just taking space.

Announcements can sometimes be pretty important, and thus it is also very good that it is easy to spot and access. Sometimes you wonder wth you just read and want to read it again. So I agree with Miss Step :cross:

So let me get this strait. Coldshot is against because they dont care if someone doesnt wish to scroll but instead want instant view of what it want? And Naljs doesnt know about it in Server>Rules and Community>Vote?

They're not there only just so you read them the first time there's something new, but also as a hotlink whenever the casual user needs to look for them. So this is a no from me too.

Also, AFAIK, this isn't possible unless you change phpbb files, which we don't do.
