[Rejected]Please Increase the Herb Respawn time in Northrend

The Herb Respawn time is like less than 2mins i noticed.
Requesting the GM's/Admins to increase the timer here. There is no challenge in collecting herbs just keep patrolling an area and there is a bag full of herbs.

When the timer is more its more of a challenge to collect the herbs

. I like to fight for my herb! xD

there must always be herbs spawned in a zone... when you loot a node, you force it to spawn again in different place
that's why it's most efficient to herb in one NR zone, because you make some of them spawn back fast
same goes with mining

oh.
That makes sense. I picked an area of like 200yards and just keep gathering in the same area, the herbs keep spawning fast.

depends on the NR zone, if you herb in... BT, most herbs are near the lake, with 10-15 extra flowers in whole rest of zone
most of em will respawn fast near the lake, cause that's the most picked zone

Problem is that there aren't simply enough possible spawn points and of course not many people that may obstruct your gathering. Increasing the respawn time is not really a solution. Main problem is with Wintergrasp where you can farm so much herbs/ore in short amount of time its unreal

But that is a result of not having it fully working as intended.

You can't increase or decrease their spawn timer because that's not how they work. There's a total of nodes and a total of nodes that can be spawned at a given time. Once you pick a node here, another one respawns there and so the story goes. It's the same for mining. Thus, areas with higher activity get a faster node rotation than stagnated ones.

Prices are high because well, I still have to find a damn thing that isn't over priced these days

Yes, forgot to mention what Nye just said - you can't modify individual type/group of herb respawn. It uses a default respawn value from the core which i think was like 10-15 sec max, i believe same as the default respawn for any other creature or object without respawntime set in db. You can make core modifications and additions, but you all know it is hard to do, not reasonable and not a real solution.

No need to change spawn timers, but can we all atleast agree that herb node spawn is buggy, as in they don't change between the different types of spawns possible

In IC there are nodes which always spawn as only 1 of the possible spawns, icethorn / lichbloom when they should alternate.
But best of all in WG there are nodes which always spawn frost lotus even though they should share spawn point with frozen herb.

Well, that sounds like a bug then.

This is going to be rejected as there isn't really anything to be directly changes to this.
