[Rejected] suggestions for Heihachi and whole TrueWoW staff

#1 » Post by bunak » 14 Jan 2014 22:34

Hello,
.NET (C# and VB) and little web (PHP, MySQL, HTML 5, JS) developer here. Tried buggedchecker.exe, and it didn't ran so well (actually it didn't ran at all - config.ini says - d:/games/wow/ etc - no auto detection at all). I can try to make better. Should I? Better looking, better working (I hope) with Launcher maybe, showing some splash news/screen? Sure thing, just tell me should I. Will give you source of course.

All best!

PS: Great server! Keep it up!

*EDIT: And yes - with fast bugtracker submit!

The launcher is a nice idea, had thought of it recently. Could include links to news and useful website tools. I am a C# dev as well so I'd help out if we came to do it in that language. The tool is going through few changes and the client side probably would be lifted if things end up as I'm thinking they would, leaving only the addon side.

But Heihachi is the one working on the tracker so about that I'll just let him comment further.

See you and thank you for your interesting in helping.

the bug checker that I made runs from folder and sets that as the WoW/Interface/AddOns/BugChecker folder. it would still update list.lua even if wow isn't found. A launcher isn't a bad idea if you want to do it I can help as well BUT the BugChecker addon may change a lot in the coming months.

OK, great! Will start tomorrow and PM you with SVN, or Dropbox login details. I use VS 2010.

All best!

If we could use https://github.com/ it'd be better, unless there are objections. Just that we (I think 'we') are kinda more used to it :P

Discontinued, no interest and little profit vs maintenance
