Ok, I'll set some things straight, no I am not making this thread because I am interested in using this tool.

I think the faction change prices are too high for Horde>Ally
We know that Horde>Ally costs 50%(150VP) of Ally>Horde(300VP) to fix the PVP unbalance caused by timezones.
We also know that you can get a maximum of 20VP every day, and that if you vote every 12h and we assume that some vote sites don't bug, therefor not giving the VP.
I think the main reason why horde players don't transfer to the alliance is because of the ridiculous price put on the faction change tool.

Think about it like this, why would anyone use 8days of voting continuously every 12h to transfer to an underpowered PVP faction, that's like making someone build their own gun and then shoot themselves with it.

I think we could solve this issue by reducing the faction change price from Horde to Ally down to 50vps.
First it's not too hard to get so they won't think it is a ridiculous price, second even those who do not vote will be able to switch factions if they want with the bonus 50VP everyone gets every month.

Also to balance the prices, the Ally to Horde should also be lowered to 150/200.

That has already been suggested among us but we didn't get to any conclusion back then. Maybe it's time to bring the matter up again.

Well if you look at http://www.truewow.org/?p=server&sub=statistic it seems there are in fact more level 80 alliance characters than horde even though currently online is 20 less but it shows as more level 80 alliance been online in past 24 hours then horde.

Think as far as players are concerned both factions are actually balanced its just a lot of alliance players choose not to do pvp or only do arenas rather than bgs since dont need items which cost just honor.

Because believe it has been discussed about making both cost same but no action was taken on it

Alliance / Horde sure that changed from when I originally looked or the count for past 24 hrs and currently online anyway.

Level 80: 7528 (5.28%) Level 80: 7451 (5.23%)
Level 80 and last online less than 24 hours ago 1292 (0.91%) Level 80 and last online less than 24 hours ago 1395 (0.98%)

I see it got quite much balanced over the last months which proves again that the current system works even if it's hard to believe. Decreasing the cost but keeping the difference could make it more accessible which means more changes from both sides.

However I have set both to 300 for now.

Imo faction change is too cheap, some ppl r changing faction monthly.

This has been under discussion by gms because all services are too cheap when if players get full 20 vote points a day just from voting they can rename every 3 days.

I have an idea... You could set a limit of name changes per month, say, 3 or 5, or for example a limit that will prevent you getting a rename each week/2 weeks. Same could be used for the faction changes I believe, but I didn't take the efforts and the problems that may occur with this into account.

This sort of usage limit is useless in my opinion. I prefer increasing the amount of Web Points required for the tools to increase the vote activity with them.
