Enable free transfer Horde>Alliance

#1 » Post by gad777 » 21 Sep 2015 15:25

Prime, could you please enable free transfer horde>alliance for pvp reasons. Most of us who are not raid logging want to pvp and queues in EU hours are 20horde 0 alliance. It gets better after 1 AM CET but most of us cant play during that time. In order to prevent abuse, maybe do 1 transfer per month or something allowed. We wish to transfer 10 people to alliance from our guild in horde so we can have constant BGs running troughout the day in EU hours. Thank you for your consideration.

P.S. I know what youre gonna say (Pay and transfer) but not all want to pay and we wont accomplish anything if we just transfer 2-3 people. !

Clearly the population is starting to get close to 50/50, so I think this suggestion is fair.

Depending on the time of day, who is queueing, and if guilds are raiding... the exact opposite effect can be seen :p. If anything I would consider removing free faction xfer altogether.

We r always gonna be seeing this problem because the faction that loses always stops queueing after a while, but its wayyyy horde sided atm, ally have about 4 prime hours in all the 24 hrs of a day, and some days they dont even have those

If the factions become balanced, any form of free faction change was indeed planned to be removed.

The idea of free faction change for both factions was previously already tested at TrueWoW for balancing low level brackets. The results showed that the majority of players simply can't be trusted to have the balance in their own hands.

After some analysis it looks like we should get rid of the free alliance>horde as it has served the purpose of balancing. However there are still more allies than hordes, it just seems like hordes are more interested in BGs.

Therefore I won't agree with horde>alliance being free, it would make us go back to where we started with like 60% allies and 40% hordes. The only thing I can agree with is adding specific conditions to only target BGs. For example only hordes who have at least 1000 honorable kills will be able to do a free faction change to alliance. That basically includes the players who are most actively participating in BGs and wouldn't affect overall faction balance that much.
