[Accepted] The Kazzak Alternative

So we all know that as of 2.0.3 Doom lord Kazzak was moved from the tainted scar, and found a new home in Outland. So to fill the gap from this world boss that was originally added in 1.3.0 the Prime Team could use Highlord Kruul.

Highlord Kruul was added with the same loot table and abilities as Kazzak pre 2.0.3. The only difference is he had a random, and more frequent spawn location.

So my suggestion would be to use this boss over modifying Kazzak himself. You could tweak the spawn timer, and location to that of what Kazzak's was pre 2.0.3. And you would not have to worry about changing anything back when the server moves past the 2.0.3 timeline.

Highlord Kruul was only available temporary just like Kazzak so there was never a reason to script him for a WotLK emulator. The only one that comes close is Doom Lord Kazzak but it would need to be downscaled including all of his abilities.

In the end it would be just as much work as scripting Kazzak himself. I don't know if that will be done.

Actually Kruul was scripted, it's script was removed just recently from the source files. It's probably a bad script though seeing it's ancient but haven't looked into it.

I was just thinking if the scripts were there. The encounters were pretty much the same. And that it might have been an easier solution then tweaking Kazzak himself if you were looking to add the encounter.

Perhaps we could do both (downscale Kazzak + bring back Kruul when the time comes).
