Retail Transfer Guide

Greetings,

There have been several changes to how our retail transfer requests are processed due to the several frauds that we have identified on the previous method we used.

Now, in order to request a retail transfer you'll need to log in-game, minimize your game to windowed mode and take a screenshot with our Request a Transfer page in the background in addition to the previous screenshot requirement.

In order to change your game to Windowed Mode, press "Esc" go to "System" -> "Graphics" and change the Display Mode setting. The following screenshot shows the option from the Mists of Pandaria client, but it should remain similar up through Legion.

The submitted screenshot in the "Username" field should look like this:

The sample image above uses TrueWoW/Wrath client but you should use your retail client. The structure of the photo remains the same, however. The TrueWoW Request-A-Transfer page is visible in a tab in the background, your character is selected that you wish to transfer, and nothing on the screen has been obscured or edited.

DO NOT BLUR THE REALM NAME.


The "Password" field screenshot should come from the Blizzard website. It can show your full character listing OR the drop down menu listing, as long as the character you wish to transfer is visible.

The submitted screenshot in the "Password" field should look like this:

While the website now has a new style, this top right drop down should still allow you to see a list of characters.

In short, these are the
REQUIREMENTS
  • 1 Screenshot of the character selection screen with our Request a Transfer page in the background (USERNAME field).
    1 Screenshot of the account logged in at Worldofwarcraft.com (PASSWORD field).

IF ANY ATTEMPT OF DEFRAUDING THE TRANSFER SYSTEM IS IDENTIFIED THE ACCOUNT WILL BE PERMANENTLY BANNED AND NO FURTHER REQUESTS WILL BE ACCEPTED FROM THE INVOLVED USER(S).

Since a lot of people seem to have problems when submiting a retail transfer please read the thread carefully. We DO NOT require the screenshot of the interface showing you how to play window mode.


This is how the images should look like when we check the links you provide (keep in mind that these are different examples so the character names do not match for both screenshots, in your application form all data needs to be the same):

Screenshot 1 (username)

Character name (exact name as on retail and nothing else needs to be written on this field)

Notice, if you want a faction change, please add it to the request beside the screenshot link.

From now on the character field should provide the exact name of the character. You no longer need to provide the link to the armory.

NOTE: RETAIL NO LONGER REQUIRES YOU ACTIVE SUBSCRIPTIONS IN ORDER TO LOGIN TO THE GAME.

YOU CAN LOG TO YOUR CHARACTER SCREEN WITHOUT AN ACTIVE SUBSCRIPTION, AND THAT'S THE ONLY THING REQUIRED FOR THE SCREENSHOTS!!!
