Look guys, I've seen him too while in a bg and good for me I have 1-2 commands enabled to my game account, one of them being .pinfo. I was spamming on him and he had lags from 250 to 450 or more. Now you can post videos, but how can we prove he has something beside bad connection. We were suggested he is using a macro so I logged his character and couldn't find anything, beside basic pala macros.

We really need more than a video of a player lagging to issue a ban. From what I know he is from Egypt so the ms is higher than most players have. If he has a third-party software to do this, I'd need someone to contribute with sources so we can investigate more. At this point I really don't know what to do..

So what would happen if suddenly whole horde faction enjoys from eryx 'lag' in bgs and all alliances start QQing?

Kindz, I like you but that's a load of bull, sorry but it is.
450ms will not make you do what he does almost every BG, thats hardly anything, I can quite comfortable play at 500 ish and be totally fine.
In the above videos I have to force my MS to 3500ms+ to make my character perform a eryx copy.
Also his lag is very selective, he only lags when he has an objective to do (such as carrying wsg flag) or when hes getting beaten down on by 5 hordes.
You cant just say, "oh its lag srry"

Seen him aswell, X - times. Reported on ticket few times aswell,no action taken,since i guess he/she have *laggs*.
Interesting thing indeed is that he laggs mostly when hes taking the flag back to base,or being beaten.
- Would like to add aswell, i faced him aswell 1v1 < X - Times > in bg's, he would do all good,except when hes about to die,then sudenly,he decide to jump 20 yards ahead of me,and he/she laugh on me.

This matter req. stuff action.

Pinfo doesn't show the current ms as far as I know, but maybe a dev can explain how it calculates the ms. I think it has 10 sec delay or something but my results were that his ms is constantly increasing and like I said I wasn't on my GM so I was doing this before getting into fight.

I am not really defending him because I was the one that tried to find out what's happening, moving his char into my account, checking everything from an ex-staff and whatnot, but we couldn't ban him based on nothing.

I think we banned him for 3 days if I am not mistaken or a month? I can check after posting this, but really tell me what this lag switch is or just a myth.

And yea the weird thing is it happens only when he is in a fight or with flag, but still.. I can talk with the rest of staff about this can't decide on my own. We will let you know.

Pinfo updates at each character save, in other words, whenever the server saves character (happens every 2 minutes).

He has been banned for 30 days before for this "laggingweirdthingwhatsoever".

basicly the lag switch is client side. that's why it is hard to detect. i'm sure matsy can give u a full course on what we just did to recreate it.

He lives in Egypt, most connections there are limited and shared, that's why these mostafa ppl had all same IPs, and by limited i mean download speed limit
Anw, this can be caused by for example pausing and proceeding with a download.
With an ms that varies like his just by being logged in-game, any other application or download would make him lag asap. and by turning on and off whatever he uses to suck his connection's speed and leave wow with less than it needs, his downloads get prio over games, so his game will lag 100%, doing it for only a sec, would make him teleport.

- Lag switch with nitro boots, counter will be at 0, and the nitro will still be active for few more sec, enough to run few more yards till his "lag" is out

Personally I tried few lag macros and programs and none of the worked. So I'm curious how Matsy did it

strangely enough he wasn't laging yesterday in 20 man defence raid in stormwind , I was waiting for a chance to ress my corpse for few minutes and he was just patroling around smoothly

Arock has a good point.
He could be doing it multiple different ways.
Theres no way to detect it via gm commands as its client side.
Even blizzard regularly banned people for this ad its obvious evrb though they had nothing to detect it.

even if it's ''accidental laging'' , his ''accidental laging'' is causing imbalance in BGs

Google a net limiter, either add loads of ms or limit your download speed to basically nothing or even make it turn of internet forvabout 5 seconds.

I used the ms method in thevabove videos.
I could join bg pick up flag, sprint turn it on and i win because they wont be sble to hit me.

I was chasing him once in wsg, was a few steps behind, but not enough for slowing judgement.....we get to the big tree or hill w/e it is on the left side of bg, between alliance regen house and horde dmg buff house.

So...he jumps up, i decide ill be smart and just run forward, thinking i'll catch him on the other side, he will surely loose some speed as he has to go up for 2 secs and i would just be continuing in a straight line. Jk, when i got to half of that hill i already saw him jump down from it, and continued merrily onward behind that big cart just behind horde dmg buff house.

I know it's anecdotal, but, just sayin'

Also, selective lag is what is bothersome. Lags only when he needs something done. Don't really wanna get him banned, but it's fishy what is happening with him.
