Afking player in RBG

#1 » Post by celarix » 11 Aug 2014 18:26

Hi.
Please do something with player "Hoodrych". He joins RBG and stay afk during entire rbg. A lot of players will tell the same. Do something with him pls... like Deserter for month or ban or something...

Rehan, a lot of people recently started using "Anti AFK" tools. Sadly there are also "Readycheck clickers" that screw raid. Simply hard to prove. There are lot more players on horde (l belive ally too) that does same like this guy, usually gear for lvl 75+.

It shouldn't be difficult to make a bot that moves your character a little every 30 seconds.

Though I'd suggest making a ticket in-game (& going on IRC perhaps) while the dude is in the BG being retarded so that the staff can make a proper judgement call (& the guy won't be able to sweet talk his way out too).

Unless it can be proven that he has done it intentionally on few battlegrounds there's no ground for any disciplinary action to be taken. If it becomes a routine then we'll be considering warning people that AFK intentionally as grieving, but for this instance, report as AFK should suffice.

"Anti AFK" tools are a category of third party tools that we disallow. If you acknowledge that someone is using you should report them as hackers.

Warden will catch any memory injection so don't think those bots will work here.

Can only check that while the battleground is still running, there are no logs for characters in battlegrounds as far as I'm aware.

Bots aren't injections.

His "anti-afk tactic" is to use Blood Rage. And reporting for afk is so slow. A lot of people dont even care about it but that 1 place can be filled with someone more useful than stupid afker. And ofc he is doing that on purpose. Look at screens 3 RBGs and he only stays at start.

In 1 wsg I sniped him from roof while he was at start point and after that must have stayed in there for at least 5 mins, not sure if isp problem or what but, on either side it is not too cool for team. Don't know if on purpose or not , but just remembered the name and class. My 2 shillings worth ~

I saw him afk in base for at least 3 times so if any staff member could keep an eye on him or something I dunno.

If that's so, I'll be sending him a warn this time and we'll be watching for the possible bot usage.
