Ok, so- I got the zip file dl'd via browser (Chrome, 4 hours) and got it extracted and found the Installer in the client folder. Trouble is, it's refusing to connect. Sits for about two minutes, then pops up 'unable to initialize streaming'. Everything in the folder is installer files and DirectX, no Wow.exe and nothing for Addons... and it's only about 6g, which seems very small for WoW. So I'm not sure what to make of all this. Could someone clue me in?
Thanks,
Breg

Re: Client not installing
Iirc there is no installing required for the client offered here on Truewow. Download, maybe unzip, and start wow.exe.
Where exactly did you download it from? The last time I installed wow for a private server I was using a hard copy and manually down/upgrading patches until I got the right one (that was in like 2009)

Using this magnet,
you'll get ready to go client with realmlist set.
