Can't log in to the website

I've had a gaming account on here since February 2011 and due to work related stuff I stopped playing some time in 2012 I think, so it's been like 5 years. A month ago, I tried logging in again and to my surprise, I could still log on and all my characters including their gear and items were still around. So, a huge thanks to the staff for that. I assumed they'd have deleted any accounts that haven't been used for a prolonged time. Now, I wanted to log on to the website but for some reason this doesn't work. When I created this new account I noticed, that you first have to create a general account and then create a gaming account once you've logged in. I don't remember having done such a thing back in 2011. Maybe that could be a possible reason? Also, when I tried to use my old email address, it said that e-mail address is already in use, so it should still be logged somewhere at least. Any suggestions on what to do? Thanks in advance.

The account may be unlinked if you don't recall linking it before.
Try link it to your current forum, through https://truewow.org/account-manager top-right section bar.

If it turns out to be linked already, please do Private message me or any Game Master the name of account and we can hint you the forum account it is linked to already.
