Missing mounts

Hello! I have recently noticed I am missing 2 mounts, both ingame and in the "Top 100 characters with most mounts owned" ladder. I have also noticed that some other players have less mounts than before, as well (Gnurg for example has 3 less I think, as she was sharing second place with me before, as for now, she has 1 mount less than me). I have also noticed (I'm observant like that), that the "Last progress made" section of the ladder has been updated for many players in the last few days, myself included. Now I don't know about the activities of others, but I certainly haven't gained (or lost, for that matter) any mount in the recent past. Can any GM confirm, and explain, if, and why, certain mounts have been removed? Personally I went through each one of my mounts with the help of a complete list of mounts I have, and couldn't figure out which ones I used to have but no longer do. Despite of this however, I do miss them dearly, and would like to have them back in my collection, if possible.

I looked now too and I miss 2 mounts I had 159 now 157. Same thing happens on quest ladder sometimes I gain quests sometimes I lose.

I'm thinking this coud have been caused by the core change, but the dates in the "Last progress made" aren't consistent, so I'm really not sure. But if the mounts weren't removed on purpose and with a good reason, we would like them back.

Hmm still have armoured blue wind rider on my main character so if this mount has gone mising from some players it looks like has been selective, still have armoured snowy gryphon too, if I remember those were first two mounts I ever bought back on Spermik on patch 3.1.3 when you could buy both alliance and horde mounts regardless of faction.

I also have Armored Blue Wind Rider still. It seems that the mounts that disappeared from people are random. As I said, I have checked the entire mount list thoroughly but it didn't help. I guess it wouldn't help anyway in restoring everyone's missing mounts, as they won't be the same as mine anyway. Shouldn't there be some information left about the disappearance of the mounts on the specific dates displayed in the ladder for each player?

Which character of yours is the one in frame?

Do check the armory of it, check the activity log and search to find the most 3+ recent mounts obtained.

Let us know any step made.

Hey Ero. The activity log doesn't really display the mounts obtained, only if it awards some kind of achievement, or it happens to be the Ashes of Al'ar for some reason. So the only info I could gather from there (and my memory) are the following mounts obtained in the following dates:
Green Proto-Drake - 2017.06.05 (this I got after the disappearance of mounts occurred)
Great Brewfest Kodo - 2016.09.30
Merciless Nether Drake, Brutal Nether Drake, Deadly Gladiator's Frostwyrm, Furious Gladiator's Frostwyrm, Relentless Gladiator's Frostwyrm - 2015.12.25
Ashes of Al'ar - 2015.06.10
Grand Black War Mammoth - 2015.05.27

I also got the Onyxian Drake somewhere in 2016 (I think), but forgot when.

You should be abled to find them in your inventory bags, a few replaced some junk items which you can retrieve from the link below if you so desire. Let us know any further progression, are you abled to reobtain these properly?

Thank you for your effort, but I wasn't missing any of those mounts. The problem is that I wasn't able to figure out which mounts went missing in the first place, and the reduced interest from other players who experienced the same issue didn't help either. The only way I'd expect to find out this information is if some traces were left of the event in the logs during those days, but I'm not sure.

This is indeed a strange issue. This years midsummer firefestival had inquiries with same relation, where quests and items would be gone after a relog. We don't really have a believed reason that is confirmed for any of these, and there is sadly not much we can do about it unless we can find proofs of the missing objects to have been aquired in the past.

I'm not sure how we can source detect the mounts gone, my idea would be for an administrator to inspect from an auth database backup prior to the incident, however that is a subject highly unlikely sadly.

On the behalf of the Staff, I do most sincerely apologize for this inconvience. Must be quite the annoyance, I know I would feel alike.
Let us know any suggestions to address the issue, or possibly proofs for found lost-mounts.

Yeah, it's alright. I was annoyed when it happened but I came to terms with it since. Besides, a few days later Branhos also lost some mounts which made us share first place on the ladder until I obtained the Green Proto-Drake, which made me the only person to own the 1st place in most mounts owned. You lose some you win some, eh Jokes aside, I can't really miss the mounts if I don't even know what they are, so for now I will just enjoy my position and hope for the damn Karazhan horse to drop soon. PS: The junk items that were replaced by mounts in my inventory didn't show up in the item restoration page. Also I'm not entirely sure what they were (deja-vu much), but could you please check and maybe send them back to me by an ingame mail? I'm really low on space and I didn't get to delete the extra mounts yet. Thanks!
