Clicking/popping/crackling sound in WoW

Hello! I'm new to the server, enjoying it so far though.

One issue though, is the sound. Whenever the music is on or the sound is too loud (which is not very loud) the sound pops or cracks, hard to describe.
It's not my speakers. I tried using the PC speakers, my gaming headset and my phone headset. I also tried Kronos and Retail WoW, and it was not an issue. I tried downloading the game again, still an issue. Both downloads are from the mirrors on your website.
I tried resetting the setting and fool around with the sound settings, still an issue.

Can you record with phone and upload?

Something wrong in the sound files perhaps and your sound card? I'm just guessing though. Have you tried getting the WoW client from somewhere else and then just changed the realmlist?

Indeed not. But it sounds Exactly like a driver issue. Experienced this myself

Anyways,4 questions.

1. while tuning a YouTube video on max possible sound, what do you hear?

If not: Post your wow configs

2. What Soundcard are you using?
Start -> Search -> DeviceManager -> Sounds

3. What driver version? Go to same location as above and Right Click -> Properties on your soundcard

indeed it looks like a driver problem...as in it works ok with other apps but will fail with specific ones..like wow
