Latency

Hello,

I'm experiencing a huge latency lately and I don't know why. I log in with my account and, after it says "connected", I have to wait a few seconds before moving to the character selection page. When it does, it stays with the "retrieving character list" message for another few seconds before showing my chars. When I finnaly start playing, my latency is with green level, about 200ms, but after some seconds, it increases to about 700ms, and then to about 2000+ms. It's been like this for 2 days now. My internet speed is normal, and I don't know what's happening.

Connection between 2 routers at the same company. Try to mail your ISP if he can do something, or check http://www.seabone.net/ for any way to contact them.

IMHO yes. You can make a screenshot of the output and add as proof. There is definately some problem on the line between routers "Rio" and "Miami". Start from contacting your ISP, as it looks like you don't have lost packets.

At least routers operator (if ont your ISP) should be able to redirect traffic trough other routers around. Most of operators have few different connections and they use redirects when needed. By writing mail just don't put something like "I can't play WoW on server located in US" but try with "there are problems in using remote control, connecting to servers of the company I work for located in the US" etc.

You can (and even should) hide the target IP/host so they will never notice where you are heading to. Just cut screenshot like 1-2 lines after that high spike shows up. Don't forget to mention if it wasn't a problem in the past.

PS. However above shows only jump from ~50 to ~150 ms, not like you see in game in thousands. I have similiar differences, but they don't go higher ingame:
