Do you know when the restart will be? I know that yesterday, the game was more or less unplayable for me because of the spikes. Hoping the restart will fix this.

I just wish a GM would inform is of exactly what's causing them, or if they're at least looking into the reason behind it, would be nice, spikes have been driving me insane...

I heard there will be a core update soon which might help solving the lag problems, hopefully.

I see that it's only gotten worse in my absence.

Right now, I'm disconnecting about every 15 seconds. Sometimes I even disconnect while I'm in the process of reconnecting from the last disconnect.

Come on, GMs/Devs, let's HEAR FROM YOU on this issue, please???

EDIT: I've tried the no-ip and the regular realmlist entries, have tried with all add-ons shut down, and I have only noticed a mild difference between everything that I've tried.

I'm not getting the lag spikes like I used to, except only every once in awhile, but I have to re-log so frequently, and literally at times every 15 seconds, that the game is just unplayable except very late at night or early in the morning. Traffic goes up and the connection just isn't stable anymore.

I know that some of it is on my end (my connection to the 'net isn't the greatest), but often my connection is rock-solid, but I still get regular and frequent DC's.

Could someone "on the inside" please look into this and post something here for the rest of us so we know what's going on?

Thank you!

It looks like random to me. It might be related to one of recent core updates, but personally I have never had any troubles.

For some changing real list helps, other use ping zapper other try other things.
Could you try ping our server and post your results?

Next time it hits, I'll ping the server and see what's what.

Interestingly enough, right at this moment the server appears to be...no, no, I won't say it - I might jinx it.

Thanks for the response!

Well, apparently I jinxed it. Now I'm seeing lag spikes again, and this time it wound up getting me killed.

336ms for me atm, which is... "ok"

Doubt last core updates could have anything to do with this. Probably routing issues, I'm guessing you're connecting to the server overseas?

I'm connecting from San Francisco, actually, but my ISP positively stinks and nothing can be done about it because of my location, sadly (hence the lag).

Here's the latest - I noticed it went red flying into Teldrassil from Auberdine, so I grabbed one:

Yeah, definitelly routing issues, I'm sorry but it hardly will get much better than that...

I'm from São Paulo, Brazil. And it pretty much floats like it, 236ms at it's best, 336ms commonly and 400ms~ at it's worst. Usually, as Polkic suggested, that Pingzapper thing does the trick.

Sigh...I was hoping to avoid having to pay to play - one of the reasons I left retail (that, and Cata sucked, and the less said about Farmville with pandas the better).

Oh well...

EDIT: I just looked at it and it's only like $30.00 a year or something - that's not bad. I'll give their free trial a go and see if it works for me.

Thanks!
