Blood beasts in Deathbringer Saurfang Encounter

Blood beasts should have a 95% magic resistance to any AoE effects, but some uniques spells still do AoE dmg to them making this fight quite easy and untimately a dps race.....
1st Ability : Warrior cleave
2nd Ability: Rogue Bladefury
3rd Ability: Druid Swipe
4th Ability: Hunter Multi Shot
5th Ability: Shaman Chainlightning

Also in Heroic difficulty
Bloodbeast gains a special buff from Saurfang called Scent of Blood which enrages them and from retails source it says that it Oneshots a non tank.

Lot of abilites Dont work blizzlike making this encounter really easy and ye ...Dps race for DBW WARRIORS FTW

cleave is not considered an AOE because it can't be used unless you have a target, and you are next to that target
blade fury works the same as cleave for warrior, it just hits the nearby mobs for the same dmg you hit the main target

an aoe spell is aoe only if it can be used on the ground, or around you without you needing to target a hostile mob, such as whirlwind, fan of knives, bladestorm, and other abilities, I can't say about the others because I am uncertain, but I do know for a fact that cleave and bladefury are not considered to be aoes.

I could be wrong and you could be right, will wait for more people to have a say in the matter

You said it yourself, Amorian. 95% or actually 90% :?: magic resistance. So everything physical won't be resisted like Cleave and Swipe for example.

I never played on retail but i can tell something is wrong when a icc25hc boss is easier than some heroic dungeon bosses.

well it's because the beasts die really fast, and because most of us are already full geared, try doing saurfang 25hc with icc25nm ONLY gear, it won't be that easy...
and even on retail saurfang never was made to be an extremely hard boss... if we are to not kill the beasts and let saurfang empower himself to the max, he will kick our asses fast

They certainly dont one shot anyone for sure. No cc is needed since their dmg is ridiculously low thus whole fight is way easier.

W/e its physical or magical Cleave and Swipe are AoE and should be resisted by Bloodbeast :> :> :> go watch retail videos

But that guy made that comment when he was playing on 3.3.2 but we are at 3.3.5a maybe it was hotfixed..my previous server warriors cleave and all the abilites i listed above were almost of no use so our Rdps had to single target it down

But this guy just mentioned channeled AoE as useless in 3.3.5

Please provide proof of the hotfix you claim might have happened on retail, not the previous private server you were playing on.

Here is a link to Blood Beasts, notice the lack of any hotfixes / patch changes being mentioned for them.

You are correct about one thing though.
