I see a point: you build up 5 CPs and wanna use SR, then you get snared by a Mage when you're on GCD and you need to remove that ASAP before getting frozen. You go normal form (cancelaura ignores GCD) which removes the snare, use SR followed by an Insta Nature Spell.
If it wasn't the case, you'd have to go normal form, then back to Cat which will trigger a new GCD and will prevent you from using SR ~1 second earlier. Anyway, that's one example.

What Blizzard meant with "Usable only in Cat Form" is that the physical damage bonus affect Cats only.

The addon is Xperl by the way :)

When used in caster form, would it be free cost or consume energy relative to the Furor talent?

The amount of energy savage roar costs is deducted from your current energy, your current energy regenerates inside or outside of cat form even without the furor talent, what the talent does is it allows the minimum between your current energy and 20*number of points in talent to "return" to you when you shift back to cat form. So if you were for example to shift out of cat form with 0 energy you wouldn't be able to use savage roar until your current energy regenerates and allows you to do so, if you go back to cat when your current energy is 50 and you have 3/5 furor then 50 energy "returns" to you, if you go back at 70, though, only 60 will "return".

Savage Roar's functioning is exactly as Myaoming described it.

There is no bug here, you have a +10% physical damage talent, which stacked with savage roar makes a 1.1*1.03 = 1.43 or a 43% damage increase. The increase is 46.3% (1.1*1.33) with the glyph which I'm guessing gets rounded down to +46% on the tooltip

Bringing this up again. This "fix" must be reverted. The tooltip is misunderstood even by some Devs apparently.

That thing dates from 2012? And it was applied to gc's core, not actually TC or TrueWoW?
