New (old?) player here
Hello all, after not playing for quite some time ended up with some spare time, so I thought about starting wow again.
Just a few questions:
-PvE wise, alliance or horde? Some time ago Horde was the way to go progress wise (afaik first lich king kills were on horde side), did things change?
-Was thinking about rolling a priest (holy PvE/Disci PvE). Any major bug I should know about?
Thanks for your time

For disc I can only think of pain suppresssion not being castable while repentanced/freezing trapped, etc. (effects which don't grey out your spells)
Re: New (old?) player here
it shouldn't be castable during cc afaikVaen wrote:For disc I can only think of pain suppresssion not being castable while repentanced/freezing trapped, etc. (effects which don't grey out your spells)
only exception is stun when glyphed (rep is not a stun)

Re: New (old?) player here
I was in a rush and wrote something stupid, what I meant to say is that pain sup is castable during incapacitate effects. I'm not completely sure of the full list or if any incapacitate effects are an exception, but I know it can be cast while freezing trapped and repentanced, maybe while sapped too but I'm not sure, it's hard to find information on this kind of stuff.t shouldn't be castable during cc afaik

Re: New (old?) player here
PS should be usable while you are incapacitated or freezed.(Sap,repentance, freezing trap, hungering cold)
Im sure i read it somewhere, will try to find it.

Patch 3.2.0 (04-Aug-2009): No longer can be cast while under the effects of Incapacitate or Cyclone.
@Vaen: is it castable now or not? Cause from what i see, it shouldn't be

Re: New (old?) player here
Blizzard probably sucked at implementing changes to crowd control spells, as of 3.3.5 pain suppression was castable during freezing trap and repentance, probably not many other incapacitate effects since blizz devs didn't slack off that much or because GC wanted to. At the moment painsup is not castable during the effects I mentioned, however it should be.
Maybe it's related as well that hand of freedom is supposed to be castable while sapped/gouged/freezing trapped as well but at the moment it's not working either.

Re: New (old?) player here
I don't know what you mean by 'working correctly' but I consider it to be how the game worked in 3.3.5 instead of how it probably was supposed to work (which isn't really clear, the difference between bugs and 'working as intended' is not crystal clear from Blizzard's part). There may be side effects of spells which were considered as features by Blizzard as opposed to bugs and it is how the game was working in 3.3.5 (Take, for example, Recklessness giving immunity to fear, among similar stuff.)So it's working correctly then, okay
