More accurate details on Recruid-a-friend web page

#1 » Post by Toughy » 17 Jan 2015 17:34

Hello

A while ago I have recruited a friend that is now past lvl 70. The web page says:
For each 2 levels of the persion you have recruited, you can grand 1 level to any character under his level and under level 60 on your account.
but then I fould no way to grant those levels to "any character" under my recruitee's level. I made a ticket for a GM in-game, only to find out that we should have leveled together for this to work.

But when I recruited, the web page never said that. And it doesn't make much sense, if we leveled together how is there a level difference between us ?

If that is really the case, can this information be included in the Recruit-a-friend web page ?

I was very enthusiastic when I recruited, after reading the benefits on the web page, but in the end there was nothing I got in return for recruiting, save for some 250 VP, I might as well not have recruited my friend. :(

Both of you need to be in a 5 level range, and in atleast 40 yards distance (approximately)

Actually you shouldn't level together for this to work... The accounts must be linked and that's it. In other words: "For every two levels your friend gains while the accounts are linked, they can grant one level to one of your characters."

If this isn't the case, then our RaF is bugged!
Elder Myaoming (aka Slardar): Level 80 Tauren Feral PvE/PvP
Siforosse of the Undercity: Level 80 Undead Affliction Warlock PvP/Demon PvE
Zibuluge of the Ashen Verdict: Level 80 Human Frost DK PvP/PvE
Inverse: Level 80 Human Fire Mage PvP/PvE
Slar: Level 80 Night Elf Resto/Feral Druid PvE

The person you recruited is the one that can grant you levels.

I checked the Recruit-a-Friend page with my friend on his web account, there is no option for him to grant me the levels.
His RAF web page only has the option to add a new recruit, nothing else.

How exactly is the process supposed to work please ?

If he recruited you, then only you can grant him levels, not the other way around.

Recruit characters gain one "grantable" level for every two levels earned (up to 42 levels per character). Recruit characters may then grant these levels to the veteran's lower-level characters. When the characters are grouped, the recruit may target and right-click on the veteran character's nameplate and an option "Grant a Level" should appear in the context menu.
From the RAF page.In other words, group up in game, then get him to right click your character portrait and click 'grant a level'.
