It may be worth noting that the armory currently does have some JSON data feeds for characters (and guilds) for use by third party websites.
eg
http://www.truewow.org/armory/character ... ko&realm=t
http://www.truewow.org/armory/guildrost ... le&realm=t

Are you after something like that for the calendar? Or just a way to embed the calendar (like with an iframe).

I would like to embed the calendar, without the main background of the TW site. just the calendar frame of the page

Right.

Well the first part is done, you can now view guild calendars by clicking "Calendar" from a guild page.

I'll make an embed-able version too.

And now the embedding works too like so:

Code: Select all

<iframe width="800" height ="754" scrolling="no" style="border: none;" src="http://www.truewow.org/armory/guildcalendar.php?n=[guild name here]&embed"></iframe>
By default you will need to be logged in to view it (it will show a login page if you're not). You can now, however, go to "Edit" at the bottom of your guild profile page and select the option "Allow public access of calendar?" to allow your guild calendar to be viewed without logging in if you wish.

GREAT!! I this helps a lot.

I was wondering 1 more very small thing, and if truewow doesn't want to do this or it's too much of an investment I understand. But if the user is not signed into the TW site can the output take you to a signin for truewow? currently it gives you an error message about it.

Oh that's weird. It's supposed to send you to the login page already. Hmm.

Just for other peoples knowledge this is something that seems only the "Guild Leader" has access to change.

Any creature templates above 50000 are custom and should not be normally displayed at armory. They're either fun GM things or internal implementations that shouldn't be exposed to players, it's a bit disturbing that they do.

When you login through the menu that drops down, the remember me option doesn't work on any device. You get some Error /GET. Been like that since forever, just been too lazy to report it.

Yeah that's the login drop-down on the rest of the website right? As much as I agree it's an annoyance, it's not a bug from the armory. So you would probably have a better time submitting it as a bug report, since if I try and edit those files it will mess up our versioning system.

However, I'll see if I can add the remember me option to the armory login page, since I think that's a nifty feature :P

The notification area in the top right corner on the Armory page continues to display a notice about receiving a new message even though that area is already functioning as normal on the forum itself after having read all messages and notifications (user avatar displays as normal).
Basically, the area in the corner where my user avatar should be continues to have an animated "1" over it as if a new message has been received - only seems to happen on pages connected to the armory, seems fine on the forum / ucp / etc.
