Alchemy, tailoring and engineering specializations

#61 » Post by Doctor_J » 15 Jul 2013 17:53

OK as quiet a few of you were already aware there was a bug which where by once you had done quest chain to obtain a specialization for alchemy and tailoring, if you later paid the fee to change to another specialization you would regain the old specialization when you re-log and would end up with two specializations, this was also the case with engineering specializations even though gm was previously needed to change engineering spec but after relog you would end up with both goblin and gnomish engineer.

This issue has now been resolved, all of these professions will no longer relearn old specializations when you relog and it is now possible to change engineering specialization via soothsaying for dummies.

Because a lot of players had two specializations for professions please note that all specializations have been removed, but as long as you previously completed a quest chain to learn a specialization you will be able to relearn a single specialization at no cost.

For tailors: -

You will need to visit either Nasmara Moonsong (Mooncloth), Gidge Spellfirer (Spellfire) or Andrion Darkspinner (Shadoweave) in Lower City, Shattrath in order to relearn your choice of specialization.

For alchemists: -

You will need to visit either Zarevhi (transmutation master) in Netherstorm, Lauranna Thar'well (potion master) in Zangar Marsh or Lorokeem (Elixir Master) in Shattrath City in order to relearn your choice of specialization.

For Engineers

Engineers will need to use the book 'Soothsaying for Dummys' in Tanaris in order to relearn there choice of either Goblin or Gnomish engineer.

The above only applies to characters which have already previously completed a quest to learn a specialization if you never specialized you must still complete quest chain in order to learn one.

Old specializations will no longer be relearnt at login meaning it will no longer be possible for players to have more than one specialization for a profession.

Linking items and/or spells on the official chat channels with no other reason but to create a spam may lead to mutes with no warning given (e.g. linking Thunderfury on purpose line after line.)

I M P O R T A N T

Account trading from now on will be bannable and everyone advertising on forums or publicly in-game will receive a 3 day ban (or higher depending on previous ban history) and we are stopping with recovering anything lost during a trade.

However you can still trade privately, but this is completly on your own and you are liable for any consequences.

The forum topic for trading is permanently deleted and please spread the word in-game.

Sincerely,
TrueWoW Staff.

Bug abuses at general instance encounters (specially LK25HC) will not be tolerated, if caught out players will be warned and there might be punishments on recidivism.

We'll be considering any abuse that disables a boss ability or makes it unfairly easy to be defeat.

This announcement has also been made in-game.

Nothing new and this is to be expected ever since we do not tolerate abuses;
2. Exploits are bugs in the program that make it (too) easy to gain level, money, items, points (arena and honor), player kills, etc and should be immediately reported.

Small update in the rules:

Do NOT do the following actions:

5. Flood, spam and excessive shouting (CaPs LoCk) or use of different text-colours in official ingame and IRC chat channels, general ingame channels, battlegrounds, arenas or areas with high player concentration.

Have fun.

Due to some recent crash, talents were reset for everyone. We are still investigating what could have caused the reset (we already know what caused the crash). At this time, players will have to set their talents again. If you're missing talent points, try to reset your talents at trainer. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Players abusing the glitch that reset talents to use talented spells that they shouldn't have will be deliberately banned if we catch them abusing or they're reporting with enough evidence. DO NOT DO THIS. We've received plenty of reports lately and nothing will go unnoticed...
We may or may not throw warnings depending on the player's historic of abuse.

Until further notice it goes as this.

Voting should be properly working for wowstatus and gtop100 again. However for wowstatus you will now need to click a link after voting just like for most of the other sites, you need to click the link to the "Account Signup Page", it's the 2nd link at the page. For gtop100 you can just click the "TrueWoW" link above the images after voting.

There was an addition to the rules 6 months ago that we would like to emphasis in case players didn't notice it. Back then our rules were still under formulation, with changes here and there and since this was a more of an extension of the Staff disrespect and spamming/flooding rules, it was never actually announced.
7. Abusing the ticket system to spam or disrespect Staff may result in a temporary suspension.
We expect suspensions to be the last of the latest resorts when dealing with this as with any other of such violations, but it may eventually happen if the situation proves it to be necessary.

PTR will be full-time open for the time being to test core stability. This is temporary until we deem the core as stable. Just remember that PTR is subject to crashes and/or not previously announced restarts at any given time.

Our old RBG script is finally back and better working than ever. For those unfamiliar with it, the script will choose the optimal BG for the number of players that were playing in the previous BG. During the low hours this means mostly WSG with a minimum of 3v3. But if WSG becomes too small, it will randomly choose AB/EotS/SotA. Only if those get full, it will select AV. This means that AV will have a much lower chance of closing due to a low amount of players.
