Naxxramas 40 - PrimalWoW

The next content release for PrimalWoW will be Naxxramas 40.

Hardcore raiders should find this instance quite challenging as it is regarded as one of the most difficult that Blizzard has ever released. We aim to provide that experience again as best we can.

We intend to nerf and rebalance content over time as with the previous instances.

Boss Release Schedule

Our projected release for the first four bosses of Naxxramas will be November 2nd. The final release of Naxxramas should be approximately February which will give raiders on PrimalWoW approximately four months to clear the instance before the release of The Burning Crusade.

November:
- Anub'Rekhan
- Noth the Plaguebringer
- Instructor Razuvious
- Patchwerk

December:
- Grand Widow Faerlina
- Heigan the Unclean
- Gothik the Harvester
- Grobbulus

January:
- Maexxna
- Loatheb
- The Four Horsemen
- Gluth

February:
- Thaddius
- Sapphiron
- Kel'Thuzad

IMPORTANT: This is a projected schedule and is subject to change based on development.

Naxx Attunement, Tier 3 Quests, and More!

To emulate the original Naxx40 experience, we've had to change a few things for the WotLK client.

Here are some of the things we've implemented:
  • - Entry/Exit raid to left portal of Stratholme (entry part applied at release)
    - Same graveyard as Stratholme
    - Enabled remaining quests (Naxx craftables)
    - Allow entry at level 60 and require original Naxxramas 40 attunement quest
    - Added the original Tier 3 quests including the Echoes of War
    - HP buffs and healing debuffs applied for balance purposes.
    - Lower gold drops for bosses and trash (We're using the Naxx25 instance similar to Onyxia)
    - Spawn 26 Frozen Rune objects in boss rooms, requires a boss kill to reach
    - Removed Naxx25 loot and implemented complete Naxx40 loot tables for all bosses and trash

Due to the nature of this kind of content, please give us plenty of feedback in the Bug Tracker and forums as this kind of release is very difficult for us to test internally. We will need your help to ensure that Naxxramas content is enjoyable and balanced.

Thank you to all who contributed and continue to contribute to our content releases. We're always looking for more people to help report issues to the bug tracker or even join the testing team for future releases.

For the testing:

Is there a general bugthread or is bugtracker advised solely?.

Also, I'm not a PW player but wishes to test it out anyways. My knowledge with both the environment of PW and Naxxrammas instance is excel. Being a tester as well

Will it just be a downscaled Wrath version? What difficulty will you try to mimic? The Wrath difficulty or the Vanilla difficulty?

Is it live on PTR as the lvl 60 version? How can we access it there?

At the moment we only have a downscaled Wrath version because of development time. But at first the difficulty scaling will be Vanilla level or more.

I am not sure if the PTR will temporarily use the PW core & database before the release. Scripting can also be tested in the Wrath version and won't be the problem, we still need live testing for difficulty tuning.

This should be fun! See how things will be, however. I am rather dissapointed on the current state on AQ40, and the missing two last bosses. It is odd that a new raid is beeing released in 25 days, while the other raid is not even finished yet.

I am wondering about dates for aq40 beeing finished? Lets say aq40 scripting is finished and perfect next week --> gives us approx 18 days to get twins, ouro + C`thun on "farm" so we can focus on progressing through naxx.

AQ40 will be finished. The first bosses of Naxx might be released sooner that C'thun, but I assure you the final bosses of Naxx will not be released before C'thun is. Think of it like an Euler-Venn diagram. It overlaps.

Considering the circumstances we can't afford to delay our plans, we need to keep moving. Besides, delaying Naxx wouldn't affect the speed of AQ40 fixes at all. Luckily C'thun loot will still be among the best until TBC.

Seems like people likes to seek for things to argue about nowadays.
