Re: New donate system & Offers for non-donators
How do we know THAT this donation system is safe for payments? You arena going in to an HTTP page and you dont have paypal for safe payments... Is this theally safe or a trick? I wonder

Re: New donate system & Offers for non-donators
We did not have any complains about the new system. Also as it was said; Paypal no longer supports actions involved with public private servers.
Re: New donate system & Offers for non-donators
The donation page is nothing more than an API from https://www.paymentwall.com
We've had paypal before but we've had issues with them so we were forced to discard it as it became unviable.
Roel can probably tell you more on this.
The current system offers many methods that adapt to your location so I believe it's enough and pleases most people. If you don't feel safe using credit cards there are other methods you may look for.

Re: New donate system & Offers for non-donators
Paymentwall is a payment processor just like Paypal is, not as widely used but still used by a lot of websites. At the donate page you can find the link to their privacy policy: https://paymentwall.com/en/privacypolicy
The external page is encrypted HTTPS, it also makes sure that we don't know any of your credit card details. Paymentwall handles all of that.
Unlike Paypal, you're not forced to give them your credit card details if you don't want to. There are other ways to donate like with Paysafecard.

Re: New donate system & Offers for non-donators
So Paymentwall is the same as Paypal? but? the Paypal account then? I cant use it there, so i gonna register me? Is that safe?
Re: New donate system & Offers for non-donators
It's not the same but similar, just a different company. But it's just as safe as Paypal, even better in my opinion.
Re: New donate system & Offers for non-donators
Paymentwall has a stricter privacy policy than Paypal, and is thus better for you as an end-user (in theory) if you're at all worried about privacy and having your purchase history tracked.
Re: New donate system & Offers for non-donators
I bought some points... 1000 actually and i looked what they said.. The said i was going to get 1000 bonus points? i dont understand really, do they mean that the bonus is the main 1000? or didnt i just get 1000 bonus?
Re: New donate system & Offers for non-donators
Thanks for your contribution! You should get a total of 1050 and it looks like you received those without problems. At the donate page it said 500+550, did that cause any confusion?
Re: New donate system & Offers for non-donators
I just wonder.. You said 1000 points and then 500 + 500 bonus.. so i got a bit angry if i say so..
Re: New donate system & Offers for non-donators
What do you mean? 500 + 550 = 1050
This is the first time someone complains that it's confusing... Anyway the points are just a reward for donating, I hope that's not the main reason to donate.

Re: New donate system & Offers for non-donators
Well, the points is one of the main reasons why i donate.. Why would i donate if i wasnt goign to get anything?
Re: New donate system & Offers for non-donators
And, ok listen carefully. They say in the donations "1050 = 10 Euro I Bonus 550 + 500" do you understand? That i thought that it was 1050 and the bonus...?
