Bugtracker has arrived

#1 » Post by emsy » 05 Jan 2014 07:41

In a continuous effort for improvement and better organization of the website, we've made additional changes:

First and foremost is the arrival of proper Bugtracker, which, from now on, should be used for reporting all kinds of game related bugs. Mantis provides cleaner and more efficient way for developers to deal with bug reports. Account for it can be automatically created in Account manager, and here's a simple guide on how to report a bug.

In relation to the no-longer needed bug reports sections on forum, these have been trimmed down and moved to archive. New merged section for support should be used for character and account related bugs (i.e. issues that happen to you only), as a contrary to server-wide bugs, which belong to bugtracker. Support, along with Player reports sections have had "Resolved" subforms added to keep them clean (and easier to search). Another addition to the forum structure is "General Information" section, purpose of which is to hold important information such as rules, FAQ or guides, while "General Announcements" are news posted on homepage.

Last but not least is new Downloads page, containing the TrueWoW client torrent, bugged quests addon and most popular 3.3.5a addons. If your favourite addon is missing, let us know and we'll add it there.

Have fun and enjoy your stay :)

Can we have an option to edit our own reports(issues) on bugtracker?

oh well, i hoped it wouldn't be global. So it appears it cant' be set to "edit own issues". Only available permissions are "edit issues" (which an be assigned by user rank) and "edit own comments"

How exactly are you trying to create an account? The account manager "create account" is a game account. Look lower below that.

Continue feed back, considering we get feedback back from other (ally) side. So we all know at same time what is working.

You can still post feedback on these old threads. However, if people start using the PTR section to report live realm bugs instead of properly doing so at the tracker... we'll just take it away.

So, Ulduar and ToC bugs and stuff that are still there can be discussed but new issues will be locked right away to enforce tracker usage.

Yeah, eventually :P If people are to just go and use forums instead of reporting properly there then it kills the purpose of it.

Nya, after week of it we found a very little purpose for it. You are basicly cutting our option to discuss about bug and find each other way is it or is it not bugged on way we got use to it.

Commenting in matis suck, you cannot deny that.

We dont like mantis, we want forum back.

Well, YOU don't like it.

Forum is still there for discussing topics, such as ulduar or toc5.

If you report a quest that is broken, there's not much to discuss and it should go directly to bugtracker. Same for spells, but of course reports like "hunter dmg is bugged, fix it" isn't really a proper bug report.
