Tank Spec flavors

#1 » Post by sundalo50 » 29 Aug 2015 02:23

Just wanted some feedback before I throw some money at respeccing.

Current spec:
http://wotlk.openwow.com/talent#LA0b0fZhZVItrx0zVz
includes bleed.

I'm considering the following spec;
http://wotlk.openwow.com/talent#LV0I0bZhZVItrx0ziz

Comes with impale, tactical mastery and iron will.

I've seen some people stance dancing so they can charge. Seems good. Wondering what you guys think.

Alternatively I have been also mulling over this spec;

I lose all the arms talents and incite, but gain enrage, improved demoralizing shout, blood craze and piercing howl.

What says you?

If you have a different one and can explain why it is superior I would love to see it. Thank you.

This is the build I use for boss fights where I tank a single target. Notably, Improved Disciplines is key for fights like Ragnaros where you are chaining cooldowns between yourself and multiple other tanks. I would say this talent should be taken for any tank stepping into raids.

Deepwounds doesn't scale very well as we're mostly using fast weapons so those points are spent elsewhere.

Ironwill doesn't really seem to really come up much in PVE because you can Beserker rage in Defense stance plus the availability of fear wards and tremor totems.

Improved Spell Reflect gives us 4% spell avoidance which is often overlooked.

Improved Disarm reduces the CD on disarm while increasing the damage done to the target by 10% which essentially makes it a raid DPS increase on several bosses in MC which are disarmable. This talent is also typically overlooked.

The following build is what I use anytime I'm tanking multiple targets in raids or 5 mans in general.
