Rage starvation

#1 » Post by .Abcess » 16 Jul 2015 07:57

So I'm levelling as prot and in instances I'm finding myself almost constantly out of enough rage to do anything, even with points in Puncture. Is anyone else having this problem? How do I make myself more effective?

edit: forgot to mention i'm level 29.

I've played a warrior since Diablo 2 ( the autumn of 2001), there is no rage starve. Pull stuff. Git items, git laid.

Dont use Heroic Strike or Cleave, that helps up front with Rage problems.
Liberally use Berserker Rage. If you're the tank, make sure priests aren't using PW:S, it robs you of rage.
Single Target you shouldnt have Rage issues, just use Revenge and Sunder. 2 mobs, just use Rend on one, and Sunder the other, Revenge off CD.
Beyond 3 targets, Thunderclap and Demo Shout, Revenge when you can.
Don't waste rage on like, Cleave, when you need it to thunderclap or Sunder.

Also, pull more shit and press Shield Block.

I don't know if it applies to all private servers, but as an end-game raid tank on Dalaran-WoW I've learned that Power Word: Shield indeed does stop rage generation in Wrath.

one sundar per mob
revenge every time its up (its only 5 rage)
thunderclap helps aoe threat and slows incoming damage.

breath.....stop using your abilities....revenge is your cheapest dps/threat move but one sundar usually is enough to keep stuff off dps.

learn to farm rage for your next pull.
