#1 » Post by Warpath » 09 Jun 2011 14:24

So Im leveling a rogue now, he's lvl 9, and I need some good rogue leveling talents. And generaly some tips for low level rogue leveling. I searched on google, but its just full of bullshit and cata stuff. Nothing usefull. Also, he's undead. Leveling talents is what I need the most. Combat ?

Combat is a very good lvling talent tree.

Combat is faster but assasination is more fun.

I have been leveling my rogue in combat most of the levels but since about 60 I started using assassination and found I like the harder hits I was doing.

I still suggest combat, its better if you have more Mobs on you.

okay if you level in assassination you will have a really hard time with mobs etc. its only for level 80

if you level in sub which i havent tried yet i can only speak for the stealth talents wbich come in quite handy at times and probably nicer bgs

if you level in combat make sure to takee dual wield spec and imp slice and dice always use slice n dice when fighting a mob and ull have lots of fun fighting 5 mobs at the same time in combat it is also possible to do a little pvp in bgs like me when i first saw you and inter in the 70-79 bgs, adrenaline rush can kill a paladin

i lvled in sub and love it the stealth bonus and shadowstep are great for 2-3 mobs (sap 1 ambush main blind 3rd) i got duel spec at lvl 60 and have full assassination as 1 spec i do 300 ap less 2% crit less the only bonus i really see is the energy regen skill for when you come out of stealth

Assass is pretty bad for leveling.

Combat is probably the best until maybe 60. Then you should change to something else.

I leveled in Sub and had no trouble. Not to mention it being fun. Sub is definately the best if you want to do a lot of PvP while leveling up.

I've leveled as assassination, and i have to say that it has been really fun, at the beginning using gouge + backstab makes stuff funnier. For lowbies bg where you can 1 shot a priest with cold bold + ambush. Things change a lot at lvl 50, once you get mutilate you get combo points for everything and take down mobs really fast. Pvp with assa is really fun too, you can se how ppl try to run away from you and the dots kill them in the way. I've already got envenom which i havent tryed in bgs but seems quite useful to finish elites but i havent used it in bg yet. Im still in outland so i cant say anything about lvling 70-80.
Let me introduce myself: I'm Gurdjieff and...
I rolled a Warlock but Rogues raped me all the time
so I rolled a Rogue but Warriors raped me all the time
so I rolled a Warrior but Mages raped me all the time
so I rolled a Mage but Warlocks raped me all the time
so I rolled a Warlock but...

Everyone says Combat. But what about Hemorhage ? It costs much less energy and is stronger. Faster to get combo points ?

Combat's useful not for the skills it uses but for the energy regen and the multi target attacks.
With subtlety you might finish a mob faster but it'll be harder to kill more than a mob at a time..

I've lvled as combat and I managed to kill 5 or 6 mobs at the same time when I was lvl60+. And those mobs were 1 lvl higher than me. So it's pretty much faster to lvl I guess.

I leveled in Subtlety and had trouble soloing more than 2 mobs BEFORE level 60. At level 60 though, the gear is much better and the mobs much easier. I was able to solo many mobs.

As for PvP... there ARE level 80 Sub rogues, you just don't notice it for whatever reason. And, you can level in one tree/build then switch at 80.

Hypothetically speaking...what would be the best talent tree for a lvl 19 human rogue twink? I decided to make a stealth twink mainly for bg, to shake things up a little.

I don't normally twink. But when I do...

I go for stealth kills
