Discipline Priest Talent: Reflective Shield

#1 » Post by innocentguy » 24 Dec 2012 11:05

According to the comments on wowhead and various other sources, Reflective Shield only reflects the damage taken by the shield on the priest himself, and does not reflect any damage on shields placed on party/raid members.

Can I get any confirmation about this??? Does it work this way in TW?

Yes, it works as intended here.
If it reflected the damaged inflicted on all party members, it would be OP in every respect.

Just to note, it's a useless talent. maybe in arena it's good, but in pve it's shit.

There are better places to put 2 talents wrt PvP as well. Also, I use it as a filler in PvE because I have nothing else to put them in, and it works on AoE and aura damage, but beyond fillers or possibly leveling, its pretty much worthless.

Actually that talent is pretty decent if you play comps like disc/war or so,where as priest you cant be really offensive and your playstyle is based mainly on dispels,so the added dmg from shield is good there.

Just to let you know, I'm that type of person that can't suck at something I feel like doing (in general, not only in WoW). I'm not showing off or anything.
One random example: if I feel like playing a Warlock, I will play it good and won't fail. Might not become a pro since it requires more than just a simple feeling. It requires a certain dedication to the class and spec...
I never played a Priest and went above level 10. I dislike them, especially SPriests which are a joke: 4-5 abilities for both PvP and PvE. Don't go and tell me there's more abilities, because it's obvious. I didn't count Def abilities nor heals.
If I feel like playing it one day, I'll certainly roll Disc, but still, I consider healing a bit boring. That's why in my opinion, Priests are generally boring.

Shadow priests use Devouring Plague, Shadow word: Pain, Vampiric Touch, Mind Blast, Mind flay. That's really 5. Which isn't 2-3, but 2+3. Just saying.
