Counterspell bugged?
I've noticed when I counterspell mobs, it will interrupt but not lock out the school of magic they were using, they will immediately begin casting again.
This seems fairly major, but there are no bug tracker tickets, nor forum comments about it and I can't believe nobody else has noticed. Is it just me? Can anyone else confirm that either counterspell is bugged, or I am?
Thanks.
*Guess I should mention, I tested this on a few different types of caster mobs in Redridge and Duskwood*

Re: Counterspell bugged?
Counterspell works as intended. My guess is that spell lock for mobs haven't been implemented yet.

No, I don't think it's working as intended. Per the spelltip: "Counters the enemy's spellcast, preventing any spell from that school of magic from being cast for 8 sec."
If the mobs aren't being locked out, then how is it working as intended? You may be correct in saying it hasn't been implemented yet, but saying it's 'working as intended' while cute and cliche, isn't entirely correct in this instance. I am curious though why there aren't any posts/bugtracker reports about this. PvP and even PvE wise, counterspell is huge. Hmmm.
Edit * I've asked a few other mages if their counterspell was working, and everyone said that it was. Mine definitely is not, that's interesting.

It works as intended. Such kind of abilities like mind freeze, kick, pummel, silence and similar effects with school lock for creatures don't work either so it has to do something with creatures in general.

The issue is with mobs. It's true they start casting as soon as you Counterspell them.

Re: Counterspell bugged?
As far as it concerns me spell school lock doesn't exactly work properly on mobs... untested, just some very very old thing that I remember myself of

That's what I was looking for, thank you Myaoming & Nyeriah.
Re: Counterspell bugged?
On mobs, Counterspell and interrupts lock the spell out, not the spell school. It is indeed not working correctly though as a mob will recast the exact same spell as soon as you interrupt it.
