Like Etro said, the "Attack Power in Forms" difference you see is the sum of both differences (normal AP difference + forms' AP difference)Etro wrote:1361 - 1315 = 46
46 + 88 = 134
Agility gives 1 AP for Cats. Gives ~1.1 AP if you count Survival of the Fittest, Mark of the Wild and Heart of the Wild bonuses.Blacklustersoldier wrote:you know that agi gives 2 AP for cats right?
Predatory Strikes is working as it should. I'll explain how it works. First, let's forget about "Increases your melee attack power in Cat, Bear and Dire Bear Forms by 150% of your level" because it has no effect on weapons, obviously. Let's focus on "and 20% of any attack power on your equipped weapon".
Unfortunately, the tooltip is misleading. It does not count ANY attack power on the weapon, but only the attack power you get in forms (1361 for Repurposed Lava Dredger and 1315 for Witch Doctor's Wild Staff).
To prove that, I have made tests using Wrathful Gladiator's Staff and Distant Land HC.
679 - 244 = 435 <--- the additional AP gain in forms.
435*1.2 = 522 <--- where Predatory Strikes' math takes place.
522 + 244 + 13 = 779; (13 is the AP gain from Agility)
779*1.1 = 856.9 <--- where Heart of the Wild math takes place. 856.9 counts as 856.
So the total AP gain I should have when using Distant Land HC over Wrathful Gladiator's Staff is 856. Let's see if it's matching:
6200 - 5344 = 856.
There you go!
The issue here is the Heirloom. AP in forms scales with levels and apparently the scaling here is incorrect (less AP than what is shown in the Heirloom's tooltip)
